Great climbing all the way to top! Pitches very sustained on generally good rock

5 person gumblie train up this absolute institute of a route. Jarred chartered straight up a blank slab with some sporadic rps to avoid rope drag which was wild. I again managed to drop a couple turrets down the chimney which is unfortunately dangerous and hard to avoid. I helpfully recommended jarred and ella sling backpacks below then as they topped oit of the chimney. Kobi and georgia cruised through behind us with impeccable wriggle techas.

Holds falling off left and right, didn’t really enjoy this climb much at all.

After a couple of false starts on the first pitch (thanks to the rather high, and "just out of reach from the obvious stance" first bolt, we soon took to this climb with great enthusiasm. The second pitch is stellar climbing for the grade. The 3rd pitch is challenging and requires commitment through the crux. Alas I shied away from fully committing, resting on the bolt before tackling the crux. I wish I'd just gone for it. Ah well, next time...

Best climb on the wall has the least stars. Worth a couple laps around here if you cant be fucked to climb a multi. Post caves route, pre surf. Not bad for monday. Beaut qld weather but shaded crag how good

Cool climb! Spicy move in the early part of the chimney (mossy and moist and sketchy!), and run out! We ran the pitches together but soooo much rope drag. Also, spooky ledge is not spooky. Rapped down Remains of the Day.

Thanks Sam Pearson for the nomination. A classic sea to summit route of tibro! I chucked a cam in way out left on p1 that caused insane drag and got into abit of a crunch at the next bolt. Copped a phone call from the place i interviewed at on tuesday.. didnt get the job. Thank god. There was another round of interviews apparently. I was safer from employment than i thought. I saftied into the bolt while yim soloed to my cam and got it out so i could keep climbing. Definitely bolted to be a trad multi.. i was pretty keen to not fall on quite a few sections on all pitches. I may have avoided cruxing on the 3rd pitch but my traverse out left and subsequent regaining of the climb could have easily bombed yim with a factor 2. Felt quite risky, should have just punched the jugs. We enjoyed lunch above pitch 4, stoked after the improbable flake move at the top before walking around to find p6. We found it. Fuck. Where is the pro? Bouldered through it. Felt bold but the holds were amazing. It would be both scary and maybe funny? to see someone deck it off that start into the bushes. Topping this pitch, delighted at the lovely slabbing, i pulled rope till i could see the end with no scotchfingerman attached, followed by yim calling out for the rope. Fuck. Had to rap down, chuck him the rope and jug back up. Big marn was on his phone apparently.. Big bush bash reminiscent of colloseum corner, then down caves, showering some dirt on an angry local 'guide' double strand rapping at the same time and rope as his girlfriend 5m above. Nice. Cant give him too much shit, we found ourselves 'simuljugging' second day in a row from overshooting anchors. Still alive and most importantly, unemployed.

Thwarted again! Had to bail on the 4th pitch due to the water still dripping out of the rock making things too slick to climb. Bummed.

Stiff fifteen and that was on second, barely got through the traverse, that's what a steady diet of frog will do to you. Great fun to finish up on.

Climbing CC was a bit like when you get the flu and in a feverish state swear you'll never take your good health for granted again and by good health I mean Frog Buttress!😁

But a great introduction to Tibro trad climbing for me, and actually the sketchiest moment of the day was almost being run off the road by a truck changing lanes on the M1 coming up from Brissy. The chimney proper was of course the highlight– especially the committing and run-out climbing from the last stance to the chockstones with no pro, especially stepping up into pools of water and slippery green slick over rusty pegs.

A rewarding experience and great Greg company.

Top roped first pitch only. Started a meter to the left. Climb where the bolts are seemed harder than an 18.

lol direct start is def not a 20. A couple of fun moves on a little roof (~19) and the rest is easyish but fun.

meh! Very shouldery. Not for me.

We only climbed p1-4; p5 & 6 sound like a hassle and not worth it. p2-4 were real fun! All routes are nicely bolted (no risky run outs), 2-3 cruxy exposed moves on p3, but all well protected.

We used an 80 m rope; abseiling without issues; (make sure to rap down p4 closer to the 24 than the 17, otherwise you might get stuck), we used the anchor of Leaving on a Jet Plan (straight down p2 instead of traversing over to first anchor of Banished). Sun til about 12.30. Great day!

Fun day out with good company. Awesome to see tibro from another perspective. Some good pitches in the mix.

Made an early start hoping to beat the heat and although we lucked out with cloud coverage and a good breeze, our early arrival meant a very damp first pitch from showers during the evening.

The black lichen of pitch 1 was like climbing wet glass and required some French free climbing for the first three bolts. Beyond the tree line was nice and dry, particularly after the sun hit. I'll certainly be back to retry the first pitch in the dry, as it seemed like it would otherwise be enjoyable.

The route was climbed using a pair of 60m doubles, clipped as twins. We descended via Airtime Over Pumicestone without issue.

Pitch notes:

1. Avoid if damp

2. Loose blocks are perched just to the right of the line as you reach the white headwall.

3. The rock straight off the belay, particularly to the right, is very friable. Be cautious of what you commit your weight to. The anchor at the top of this pitch is obscured from view as you exit the cave. You will need to trend back right after pulling over it. The crux of this pitch is not within the cave itself, nor exiting it, but getting above the lip of the roof. At 183cm I found it to be no harder than Ross Miller Route's crux pitch at 19, but my 153cm second suggested otherwise.

4. The chimney is fun! Beware the bee hive beyond the chimney. You can skirt around it quite readily.

5. Very straightforward and much easier than 16 in my opinion.

6. Wedged / resting blocks sit just above the belay, watch what you pull on!
