Ascensioni in Checkers Wall come Clean

Followed Cliff up this. Very strange feeling sitting on top of that flake. I should log it as an aid ascent as I pulled on a piece of gear...

Abseiled the first pitch of the route and pre placed all the gear. Toproped it cleanly on the first go.

Great slabby arete, two ropes would be handy: The bolts are on the wrong side of the arete for the conventional start up Free For All.

Pitch 1 is an excellent, almost-sport arete. Pitch 2 is a bit more trad, with great techy face, a little committing to gain the second bolt.

Awesome classic! Second pitch is stout

Good chimney, mostly because you didn't have to do any chimney climbing!

Awesome climbing for the first 15m but then deteriorates up the top. Chris lead this one with both style and grace.

Just did first pitch to access The Big Picture. Weird climbing.

A pleasant journey. I don't know why you would climb back down the flake to do it's original line. Doesn't make any sense. Breaking right along the crack once at the belay ledge seems like the most logical direction there.
