Great reintroduction to trad etc. Training for my araps trip

First ascent of pitch one yo-yoed with Zac Trembath. Lots of hook moves, a few beaks and thin pitons, a few 8 x 50mm coach bolts when it was too blank, and a few actual protection bolts. Pitch two was lead by Mason, lots of Hooks again, similar style.

at the start of the session, belayed by julie ward

did direct start, hard. Got a bit emotional once the crack started to open up, several great jambs on route, i need to work on my foot work. caroline belayed

warm up, had to go to wizards back tree to rap off. caroline belayed

very hard start. ended up straddling the crack just to get 2 rps into it. rap off DMEG's tree. caroline belayed

very hard as i thought it was a finger crack and my fat sausage fingers dont fit into it at all. lots of small face holds and not much feet. caroline belayed

got it on top rope with none of the trouble of last time, easy in fact. too short. glenn belayed

hopped on on shaws MF toprope. got to bolt through crimps, but got sequence wrong, came off. Straight back on and had to make a couple of moves back up to the bolt then straight past it. too short to be a classic

w caroline, first climb of the day. went all the way right in the chimney to get some pro

nice finish, however i didnt layback i reached around the corner to the right. linked with dropout for 1 pitch

Not bad, plenty of techniques, did the direct start, grade 20 odd, w caroline

loved it, bit reachy but powerful, only one or two sketchy moves, caorline belayed

hopped on to retreive someones bail gear. belayed by rory. felt like i was too far left but some very hard moves.

very nice. used to get to the ledge, JJ belayed, my style of climbing long, thin, fun

nice with little patch of average in the middle. with JJ

nice but blew my arms away. with JJ. led it up to the big horn, then JJ led it and i seconded/dogged all of it

seconded JJ cleanly but He showed me where the good holds were. Very thin/fine after you get past the crux

caroline belayed, so i could rig it as toprope

W mal. blew onsight when rock exploded out from underfoot at second bolt (deck out), got the second run clean

awesome, all in the footwork. belayed by caroline

skinned both knees but got it clean. w caroline

did it 5 times with the WW crew

led it a few times now. belayed by shaw

a few interesting moves. just found some bolts and did it. belayed by rory

rapped in and couldnt pull rope so prussicked out, caroline climbed it in the dark. climbed next morning w caroline. too short to be a mega classic

found a way to do the first crux, by getting horizontal and doing a big right hand dyno, shaw belayed

had to stand on the old bolt, me being a shortarse. paul s belayed. very nice climb with nice moves
