Chiusa Ba Sing Se
An area east of Melbourne that sits on private land so will remain hidden. Potential for great highball problems |
Chiusa Outer wall
The top and 4th tier. Home of the Giant slab |
Chiusa Lower ring
The 3rd Tier |
Chiusa Lower ring |
V4
★ Red carpet Direct
The main line directly up the centre of the red carpet wall. Left hand crimp rail, Right hand Jug. Two perfect left and right feet. An awesome sequence on small crimps to hit jug on top. Jugs all the way home. A downgrade to V3 wont surprise me but i like it at V4 |
V1
Dirty Feet
An awkward two move climb. Still cool-ish |
Red carpet long
Red carpet long line. looks sweet. |
Chiusa Middle ring
The 2nd tier |
Chiusa Upper ring
The bottom tier. Home of the only actual standalone boulders |
Chiusa Upper ring |
V6
★ Leech
Start at the lowest point of the lip and blast your way through the awesome shouldery, heel-hooky sequence, around the corner, up and out. Should be two stars but the annoying boulder underneath (that isn't in) really gets in the way. climb might go at an easier grade once removed... |
V1
Earth star
An early exit to 'Leech' |
Project
(Open project) The mega arete and the first line I ever spotted here. Starting with a high right foot and matching hands on the nice sloper. Throw up left to the jug flake and get techy with some cool insecure moves that get harder as you go higher. About halfway up you step right away from the arete. I want to see it done as a highball and it will take some serious bravery to execute the top crux moves. Will need many pads. Exciting |
Project direct
A direct much harder climb. From the bad two finger crimps stand up instead of stepping right and shoot for the stars. |
