Right of 'Stern Ladder', on slab

A great area for novices and as an introduction area. Short approach, minimal bushwhacking, just off a main highway near Sault Ste. Marie, Ont.

Circumnavigate the whole of Whyte Islet. Access is by stepping stones at low tide

Sit start

Climb slab/crack system just right of arete.

Climb the feature.

Mini boulder.

Runs parallel to, but above, the previous route: traverse with feet along the edge between the overhang and the slab, mostly on the slab.

There is a smaller face just to the right of the main boulder, that doesn't go as high and is just slightly less than vertical. Climb this face, starting in the center and heading mostly straight upwards or a bit left.

To the left of the cliff is a small, flat-topped rock with a seam at the front. Grab and mantle out of the water.

(Protection a bit thin when water level is low -- this is a spring problem. )

Start far left and traverse right, turn the corner and go up before it gets too mossy. Really fun with jugs and good feet everywhere. It is located east of the honte boulder and a little up the hill (before proj 16-17). Perfect boulder to warm up. You can create many other lines on this boulder.

Follow the obvious crack.

Start on hold at waist level on right side of boulder. Traverse left on the seam without using lip until the end

Follow the crystal seam, or not.

Down-climb the boulder by this problem.

Follow the arête or climb the face of the detached flake.

Good warm-up.

Line of weakness to the left.

Right arête behind the boulder.

Easy crack at the right side of the boulder

Straight on the big slab.

Climb in the middle of the slab.

Climb the little slab.

Get down the boulder by this route.

Big slab to the right of the tree with the sign.

Center slab.

Up the dirty crack. Needs a good clean and maybe then it could be fun

Easy warm up with many options

Two large boulders overlap directly over the Terrace Path (red trail). Climb the face of the boulder to the east.

SDS, on arête. Head up along arête.

Climb the left side of the slab and arete.

Climb the right side of the slab through good jugs.

Climb the right corner. Down-climbing this is the easiest way off of the boulder.
