Die Schwierigkeiten der jetzt eingerichteten 19 Routen liegen zwischen dem 4. und 8. Grad (UIAA) und das Gebiet ist aufgrund der Wandhöhe und Absicherung gut für Anfänger geeignet.
Das Klettergebiet Wennefelsen liegt bei Wenholthausen/Eslohe im Städtedreieck Sundern, Meschede und Schmallenberg. Auf der L 55 fährt man zwischen den Orten Bremke und Eslohe auf die L 541 (Südstraße) in Richtung Wenholthausen.

Parkmöglichkeit und Zugang: Der Parkplatz für das Klettergebiet befindet sich in ca. 800 Metern direkt nach der Abzweigung auf der Straße L 541 (Südstraße) in Richtung Wenholthausen, auf der linken Seite der Straße Richtung Sallinghausen. Der Fussweg zum Kletterfelsen führt vom Parkplatz zurück auf die Straße L 541, der man nach links ca. 300 Meter folgt. Hier rechts den Radweg (Ruhr-Sieg-Radweg von Wennemen nach Eslohe) den Berg hinauf. Diesen Weg folgt man ca. fünf Gehminuten geradeaus auf dem asphaltierten Weg. Die Felswand liegt direkt auf der rechten Seite am Radweg.

Das Klettergebiet Wennefelsen wurde in den Jahren 2016/2017 für das Klettern saniert und zum Teil neu erschlossen. Es liegt in der Nähe der Ortschaften Eslohe und Wenholthausen.
