This route is located right next to the hiking path (TF-86). After entering the barranco, go left but then don't continue to Tuberia but go slightly right, following the marked hiking path. The route is at your right after a few meters.

Easy route

El ascenso comienza en el mirador del Pico de las Nieves, en el centro geográfico de la isla, justo debajo de la zona militar. Desde aquí subimos unas pequeñas escaleras a la izquierda que nos llevarán a un pequeño rellano. Seguimos por el borde, y tras una pequeña subida nos situamos en la base de la aguja. La subida es por el borde opuesto, por lo que seguiremos una pequeña plataforma, muy suspendida sobre el vacío. Hay algún seguro intermedio, que nos invita a utilizar la cuerda, aunque es muy fácil. Pasamos un bloque con un gran agujero y seguimos la plataforma. Una pequeña subida nos sitúa en un gran saliente que da paso a la vertiente opuesta, ya través de una arista/diedro/chimenea accedemos a la cresta final.

Una delicada desescalada nos sitúa en la instalación de rápel, de unos 30 metros de largo, con mucho ambiente, y volado en algunos puntos. El rápel nos deja en el punto de partida. La misma arista nos deja en el Pico de las Nieves. Descripción e imágenes.

The ascent begins at the Pico de las Nieves viewpoint, in the geographical center of the island, just below the military zone. From here we go up some small stairs to the left that will take us to a small landing. We continue along the edge, and after a small climb we place ourselves at the base of the needle. The ascent is on the opposite edge, so we will follow a small platform, very hanging over the void. There is some intermediate insurance, which invites us to use the rope, although it is very easy. We pass a block with a big hole and follow the platform. A small climb places us on a large ledge that gives way to the opposite slope, and through an edge/dihedral/chimney we access the final crest.

A delicate declimbing places us in the rappel installation, about 30 meters long, with a lot of atmosphere, and flown at some points. The rappel leaves us at the starting point. The same ridge leaves us at Pico de las Nieves. Description and pictures.

Adventure! Only for people valueing the summit.

Very loose rock, no trad placements too. No solo! Think first about how to come down. Belay from the other side of the arete and rappel down this style, no fixed point on top.

Scramble around the base (low tide!) to the north ocean side. The 1. pitch is the obvious gully, the rock is okay, belay at the little gate, you will also find an old rotten bolt and biner. Pitch 2 to the summit is very loose, but easy. At the top not much solid rock, for abseiling prepare some old rope pieces to build a 5m rope sling around blocks.

On the ocean side follow the white better rock, then loose up. Think first how to come back, climbing down is to dangerous. fix a rope and rappe down the other side.
