Ascensioni in New River Gorge come Red point

Came back to do it, gave up my static beta and jumped after the crux traverse as it seemed more certain. Onsighted from 3rd bolt to end

Nice climb, 4 distinct sections with hands free rests. 11c on Mountain project and in guide book.

My right shoulder just can’t handle V grooves any more. Had to change sequence at start. Rest of it was fine.

2nd Try. This thing is all time! Probably the most fun I've ever had climbing in the sun. The position is out of this world, as soon as you hit the arete you are above the tree line and climb about 35 ft on the arete with the most amazing view and the route tops out, how does it get any better! The only negative to this climb is the lack of bolts in the first section of climbing, not the most approachable for the 5.10 leader because of this. An incredible close to an amazing day of easy climbing, if every 5.10 was like this I would never feel the need to climb anything harder.

Some nice moves but so caked in chalk it was unpleasant, especially the final moves above the last bolt.

2nd Try. Really sick route, with incredible sequences throughout. Hard moves off the ground were unenjoyable on the flash try, but felt sick on the go. Climbing to the 5th quickdraw is just some could old-fashioned arete liebacking movement with a sick toe perch to gain a crimp, and the boulder after pulling around the corner is divine with sequential footwork and an incredible float move out right. Felt a really good flow on this one and was psyched to do it soft 2nd.

squeeked it in before the rain! thanks for the long belays from jon and everybody who cheered me on at the crag. happy to have sent this king line of the NRG.

3rd go. 2nd go warm-up beta burn. cool but moist weather

2nd try. unexpected high foot move at top

Hung the draws going bolt to bolt, and then went down second shot. Route flows incredibly well.

Came so close to the flash, coming off at the chains. Made it up next time. Just mega classic, technical, slab to face and an overhanging finish, rests just where you want them. So, so good!

3th, Really good !

Climb beautifully til the last bolt, personally I found the run out to the anchors nasty, but that could be just me?

All good to the last bolt, then 3 shots to sort the sequence properly. Tricky, horror show runout to the anchors

Difficult to sort the traverse at the first bolt, fun juggy, gymnastic stuff after that. 2nd shot

Second shot. And a victory lap on tr to finish us up. Everything else looked too hard after that epic. Took a bit longer than anticipated.

Would be mega classic if not for the ugly roof traverse moves at the start. These were truely terrifying first go round with the potential to still pendulum hit the deck even with the high first bolt stick clipped. 2nd time round I got the hang off it jamming your head and back into the roof and squatting into your chest, even got a no hands 'rest'. 2 or 3 tricky and hard to read moves onroute and real kicker at the last bolt. 3 shots to get it and a 4th tr just cos it was too awesome not to.

Tricky and hard to read low crux, took me about 7-8 goes to even work out what to do + awesome run out slab finish, could just edge the draw on to make the low clip - barely even made it 2nd go around

smack down for a warm up! first shot, held it together til the last slippery move on the lichenous slab at the top.

2 shots, I am not super experienced with climbing aretes but this felt really hard, a least a grade harder perhaps two, as per usual the crux is right at the end and it is super committing (though a clean fall) to get the last draw on, you want to climb way past before you can get it on.

The guide suggests this is good warmup to the area but I would suggest warming up somewhere else and then doing this, its quite pumpy. The top is a bit slopey and mantley, I would suggest not doing it if you thought the top might be even a little damp. Good, fun climbing though.
