Ascents as Hang dog by Ben Vincent

An absolute brute of a battle getting aquainted with this line. I certainly drew some blood.

So good. This route is bit of an Ebor yardstick for me, so was pretty keen to see how it'd go down. Things were all going so well, plugged the rooflet and cruised under teh hanging pillar to get established in the vertical section. Thought I had plenty of juice left but got quickly pumped trying to clip my pro and was happy to have a little breather before finishing it off. Al tried the impressive undercling style variant through the rooflet and was making it look pretty good before getting a little tied up in my slings.

Wow, what a battle. I think I spent a few hours on this and had a few cracks at the lip before getting it. Just when I thought it was going to be all over the off-width began and had me taking off plenty of skin and wishing I took a camel back. I was cotton mouth and utterly spent at the top and loved every minute of it

Nails. Got up it with one rest and was spent. My hands are still cramping.

Nice to get back on this. All the moves but not the time to link them.

Disappointed to fall a move before the climb eased off but my T-Rex arms were jacked with flash pump. Will be more strategic next time.

End of the day, out of practice or just hard? I think all three. Will have to come back fresh for this one. Chossy dirty top-out is horrendous.

Wow, what a sick route. Very bold committing lead through the floating block section (despite the carrots) to an awkward space. And just when you think it's all over and you've made it, the top-out offers one last surprise move that your pumped out little T-Rex arms are only just capable of pulling off. Much fun!

Absolutely one of the best climbs I've done at Ebor. A bunch of medium cams needed for this one. Will have to come back and enjoy it again for the clean send.

Crux moves felt better this time around. Still have to psych myself for the move up and through the overlap - some staunch layback/pinching, high opposing smearing and teeth gritting get you through it and into a beautiful but nails finger line. Will need a serious bowl of weet-bix (and a few more T.R's) before having a 'proper' non-top-roped go at this.

Perhaps unsurprisingly this is a pure crimp fest! The start of the climb is quite fun before the vertical section starts. Made a few links through the cruxy very static crimpy section directly above the horizontal break. The top half is a little smoother - not sure it would be after linking what lies beneath. And then there's the view! What an awesome route!

A very good first pitch. I found the finger crack crux pretty pumpy. We only did the first pitch before 'forgetting' where the second pitch went. With fading light we were forced to make up our own exit. Must get back and do the Angles and Us second pitch proper.

Only just fist width in parts. Excellent lower section. Could even add roof for the sit start...

Richard must have had his weet-bix the day he sent this. A great route, jams, laybacks, flexy-flakes and techy moves. I found the crux move through the roof staunch and possibly harder than 19. If it's jamming practice you're after then this is certainly a good route to get it from. Tape would be useful for the roof.
