Ascents as Retreat by Roman

New proj?! Yeah... Nah! Rediculously hard crimping to a thin wet tufa only to then be faced with a run out.. Bailed. Need beta before another att.

Had a play on upper section.. Didn't get very far at all haha. But tiny progress was made and was so fun taking whipps in this beautiful crag

P1+2 only. Excellent climbing so far.

Some really rusted bolts And spider webs around.. Downclimbed and went elsewhere

Plan was to do first 4 pitches of air Malta but we were so excited to see shiny hangers up good rock we jumped on this by mistake.. It seemed a little off as there was no obvious mantle in p1 etc and it was bit longer but the grade seemed on point so didn't think to much of it. I led P2 thinking im up for a 20m 21 and got served a ±50 metre 24. Somehow managed to queak through for the onsight though.. Yeeew! First 2 pitches are both very good.. The rest remains something to aspire to..

So good!! And not to hard at the grade.. Pitty I didn't look at the topo and description properly. Instead of finishing up obvious jugs then right to finish (seemed to easy and off route) I tried to statically climb through the adjacent lines (massive dyno from shitty small pocket of "ape index" ) finish.

sun was going down and we had had a long day.. but still.. the first few moves off ground felt hard for18!! defnately will be back to have a better look at this
