Begehungen in Surgical Strike Wall

Felt a little sharp at this stage of the day rock was solid though

Tried get past what I assume is the crux in many different ways but couldn't figure anything out that felt like a 25 without traversing way over to the arete on the 20. Felt contrived since you almost certainly use the arete up higher to go to the anchors.

Stick clipped through the crux and felt the moves above, still couldn't see a way through the crux.

Also first bolt is only finger tight.

Only a little bit of loose rock at the bottom otherwise ok

Quite easy climbing until a very short crux up high

Massive loose block 3/4s of the way up. We tried to "x" it but definitely be wary of this for both belayer and climber. It is possible to not use it even though it's a huge jug.

Bolts are very far apart maybe take some small wires

A bit contrived, but fun. Good cam placements size blue #0,3 to purple #0,5 to protect runout to the anchor. #2ndGo

2nd tie-in today, 5th overall. Remembered most of the beta from the last session which greatly helped bag a quick send today.

Would get 3 stars if not for all that ugly glue… quite soft for 22 even though it’s a tricky one to onsight.

Tried the low start. Hard for the grade. Flashed from starting on the bloc which is soft for the grade.

The big flake near the top moving gave willies!
