Step-up.

An easier access and descent route for the North West Ridge. Has been the scene of several fatalities, care is required in the afternoon with softening snow. NZ Grade III, 2

Climb the L curving corner feature which starts as a chimney and ends as a crack. DBA at the top

LOW sit start by the left edge using bad holds and a miserable toe under the "roof." Pop your left hand up to a gaston, then roll up to a good hold higher up. Finish straight up the (VE) slab.

Climb cracks in the wall. Route information unclear as to which cracks. Most likely the cracks beside the rocky gulley.

Climb the groove and keep on going through the widening crack and chimney to reach the steep headwall and chain. Long and airy with a good balance of moves. DBC Belay

The line of bolts up the whitish streaked slab. Continue on gear at left edge of blocky overhangs. Bollard/gear anchor and walk off, or leave the anchor in place, a 60m rope will get you down.

Some good moves up the steep arete. A couple of wires before the 1st bolt, then bolt pro the rest of the way. The arete to the DBB on the lower LH corner of the black slab. 2: Up and out L to DBB. (Grade 16)

Interesting, well protected - do it. Starting from the ferny rock at the front RH corner of the Stronghold, traverse L along the sloping ledge and clip 2 bolts before swinging out onto the solid slab above. - climbnz.org.nz

Up seam past an initial undercut roof, then head towards the top.

Start matched on the left arete.

The left most sport route of 3 in the Bay. Looks to be 19/20 ish in grade. May share the anchor with the middle line.

Called 'Dwarf Toss' due to the high starting hold (jump start for many).

Delicate rock-over to balancy mantle.

Evident crack on the right-hand side of the roof.

2nd pitch to 'Rescuer' From the ledge climb the steep face, a slight right hand traverse gets you to easier ground, then up the final arete to a double bolt, chain anchor.

Starting on the obvious sloper, move to the left of the arête and upwards between the arête and the crack

Areté.

Same start as Mysterium, but instead of mantling up the middle of the scoop, keep following the line of the crack right. Once stood up on the right side of the scoop, transfer onto the slap and finish up the top of Redline Reaper
