FFA. Unless someone else wants to claim it, spotted this line last year, it took way too much skin and climbing days (3) but finally got the 3 sequences linked(success rate after figuring out the moves 70% first, 20% second, 30% third). Not that keen on having an accident on Flinders, so led it with 3 bits of gear- red C3, small wire, purple C3 and one more red C3 to top out.

Wimped out on first attempt at low roof and came down. The traverse after this crux is tricky and I thought the exit from the alcove was equally tricky, thinking it was DoNot Fear, then saw it written up this way on here. Given the general stiff grades it could all be considered a Flinders 20. ( go try slasher if you want another grade 20 to compare )

The topo in the book is a bit off on the traverse. Pitch one is pretty hard if you are short for a few metres. As is the start of P2. End of P2 is the shared finish with Firetail- a reason to aspire to grade 30 climbing if ever there was one. P3 is a steep and mostly jaggy crack. The positions are wild and exposed and the rock generally fantastic and it’s an awesome well conceived route when you include the direct finish as the 4th pitch

FFA. Great exposure, and nice varied climbing. Hard to give a reliable opinion after the work involved putting it up, and walking in to do this and Dave’s route as a day trip. Again, the cracks were a bit damp in parts after a 50 mm rain event. Shady in the morning, gets some afternoon sun. Would go at 19A0.

Clean 2nd p1, led P2. A star for the climb, one for the scenery and one for the experience. Magic place. Only downer was mild steel shouldn't be used to bolt climbs.

A quick route after getting to camp I grabbed the draw a couple of times to clip as the holds felt tenuous and wet. There was a weird condensation happening in the evening and we had no chalk

Just the top pitch, would get very good with a couple more bolts, the run out on the slabs is stupid, but maybe if you can do the 26 onsight it’s ok. Was further around than we thought, took a while to find, but the faded cloth around a tree across the track to denote the turn off is still there

We carted 2 ropes and 6 #1s up to try and lead this, but ran out of time so just did a TR lap each. The hands are thin, even for me so I think 0.75 may be more like it. Hands quite swollen from 3 days of pack carrying. Kind of repetitive, but a good challenge. Needs a good scrub. It was raining lichen.

Sea kayaked to narcissus, walked to Geryon campsite day 1. From Geryon campsite Walked to north summit via ascending scree on opposite side of creek, to labyrinth, then eventually finding the walking track to north summit. ( just under 4 hours). Cold westerlies led to snagged rope on abseil from north summit. Abseiled down west side of Foresight to base of south summit pitches. Nice pitches once we figured out where to go. Long exposed descent to scree chute. Where there are beeches seeming to block the way, just push through. About 12 hours at a leisurely pace, but 2 hours of that were navigation errors. Day 3 walked back to Acropolis rail and then up Acropolis, tried Astroboy, walked back to our boats near Narcissus, got up early and seakayaked out. An excellent 72 hours

Alt lead with Dave. A nice alpine journey and canyon descent, great views. Pitching was a pain in the butt due to rope drag despite placing minimal gear except belays. Nice to have Keith along.
