Well worth the walk.

Nice to be back new routing. This was a good one to test how the fitness, strength and technique are going. Confidence could be better!

We thought we did a first ascent, only to find out years later that it had been done by two of my previous climbing partners while I was living in Melbourne. We probably did a different series of pitches after the crux pitch.

Seconded this one. Had to rig up a back rope on the traverse as I couldn't see the footholds in the gathering darkness. Ben could barely hear me and must have wondered what the f___ was happening as I called for 'slack on yellow and tight on white'. Aided a couple of moves on the fisty crack in the dark before grabbing the fig tree with a degree of relief. Untangled the ropes at the top purely by feel. - Another adventure. Oh Yeah!

A very good first pitch. I found the finger crack crux pretty pumpy. We only did the first pitch before 'forgetting' where the second pitch went. With fading light we were forced to make up our own exit. Must get back and do the Angles and Us second pitch proper.

Just as good as I remembered, perhaps better. Pleased with how I climbed but had to rest on a runner to get two hands to a stuck wire.

Campused the large block in the roof for added interest

Only just fist width in parts. Excellent lower section. Could even add roof for the sit start...

Rapped off and scrubbed the top, not realising how overhung it was so didn't clean the bottom as much as I could have. Benny scrubbed the right line. Did the first half clean on second and then was pumped silly.

Second run, had to clean it and the bottom 4 wires needed a lot of tickling to get out. Rooted.

Pumped out on the first ascent, placing pro, cleaning loose stuff and yoyo-ing about. The second attempt was much smoother and only interrupted by a hold breaking. Look forward to the third shot. Quite a steep line, great climbing and becoming cleaner.

A very dirty climb indeed. It's more or less broken into three good sections, the cruxy start, the awkward and equally cruxy corner and the final chimney. With a few more ascents it should clean up nicely. The three stemmed Gum tree makes for a good belay, but you need every bit of your 60m rope to utilise it. Watch out for rope snags at the top of this climb.

Climbs a lot better than it looks. Love the twin cracks up high.

Richard must have had his weet-bix the day he sent this. A great route, jams, laybacks, flexy-flakes and techy moves. I found the crux move through the roof staunch and possibly harder than 19. If it's jamming practice you're after then this is certainly a good route to get it from. Tape would be useful for the roof.
