Ascents in Caves Area as Retreat

Bit more than a retreat! Saw Lee on it and wanted to give it a shot, got cut short tho. Under first bolt ripped off the mega chalky jug and got hit by it, descended to assess damage, to find only a split ear and decided to leave it due to the shock I was in. Could have been worse if not wearing helmet, ALWAYS WEAR HELMETS!

easyish till the anchor, which is a committing move on lead. not the best warm up.

Had intended to come back,clean all the gear after last weeks whipper and go for the send. Unfortunately entire crag seeping and crux was soaked so became a retrival mission. Got all the gear off the wall and thought the .3 Z4 was screwed after catching me as it was all jammed up but managed to fix it at home. Absolutely love this line so have decided to come back and give it a proper clean before attempting again.

Head game a bit off after catching a sketchy fall earlier.

Crux holds were wet and slimy from seepage. Shame.

I started left of the first bolt and broke lots of rock. Downclimbed from the second and bailed to Ocean Vista.

oh man what a climb, I am sure I'm missing some beta for the crux before the chains, very pumpy but super keen to head back in winter nice n strong for another shot!! Also thankful for the bail biner at the crux...

I did not care for this. The runout over the roof was too uncomfortable for me.

An absolute spanking. Don't know what happened as last time I could do it.

Got to the second bolt then pulled off a few holds and footholds .

couldn't pull the crux move. Its an adventure route!
