Ascents in Chapman's Hill having Beta

Not sure what category of climb to grade this as. I climbed it TRS to suss it out as a high-ish boulder, as all the hard moves are below 4-5m. The anchors are solid though so you might as well use them, although rope drag could be an issue.

Probably a V4ish reachy crux with a great undercling-kneebar on the rooflet and a committing high left heel hook to big reach for a jug.

Maybe 18-19???

Fun little addition. A little airy for the grade but a good warmup.

Great problem. Kinda Moonboardy into the sidepulls then a mega yeet to top out. A true sit start would maybe add 2 grades and be mega.

Love little extensions like this... And loving more development in the area.

Pumpy extension! Definitely worth a go. Really awesome.

Came back without an injured finger to repeat this. Downgrading it to V4. I think without the arete maybe it hits but that would be retro-ing the beta and I think it's good the way it is.

Need to do more sit ups. Good practice for something. Best not to have a dog laying on mat below you

May be easier for tall, but if short feet have to come up high in the undercut to be able to throw to ledge. May well have been done before and not written up. Feel free to rename if this is the case.

Probably V0. The pine needles on top out make it clean as you go. Interesting I cut crimps.

Probably done off the top ropes a bit, it was fairly clean.

Did it as a layback the whole way up, but it wouldn’t get a 16 at monkey face

I just did stuff and consulted guide later, again this line seemed nice. Nice area and surprisingly nice rock, good work on the development- and some good opportunities for a clean up of bogan rubbish.

Not sure that the blob resembles a brain, probably a bit soft for v5, but the starting dead point to crimp suits me

Seems obvious to go straight up arete from jug, but then I’m not a boulderer and don’t understand the rules

Extended start makes SH even better IMO. Not sure of 6 or 7 grade. I’ll wait for some input.

Amazing line! great movement, committing topout with hard to see crimps near the lip. enjoyed the whole process on this one.

Very enjoyable, rather committing from halfway up as I haven’t built up a landing area yet.

Another day another repeat. This really is a classic at the grade. Challenging movement, for those at the grade, technical and crimpy.
