Ascents in Butterfly Wall

Awesome climb. Friction was pretty low, and I couldn't figure out the lower cruzx sequence... One of the hardest 24's I've ever been on hahaha. Will definitely have to come back to this with more endurance, some beta, and better conditions!

First half of this climb is so hard! Probably hardest 24 I've tried. Top half is fine. Wasn't really gunna try anything to hard today cos the weather was hot and ridiculously humid. But thought the route looked fun. Didn't have the patience to try and work out beta for the bottom in the weather. So sandbagged

Mikl is like king Midas, except everything he touched turned strange. 3rd go

Awesome! Such perfect rock. About 6 or 7 goes. Felt quite hard for the grade

Stoked! Such a tough route with the undercling crux and then beautifully sustained to the top

Bloody hard

Tried once years ago and didn’t get far, today did almost all the moves except for off the ground and end of the second crux. Feels possible with a lot of work.

No idea how I got this second go, @mvcullen is right the beta is just pull hard.

Pretty sustained climbing even after the powerful crux

More of a stressful last day in nowra than expected. Really thought it would go quickly.

Fuck that heel hook!

Start of Stone Roses felt super dialled, the I was able to get one more draw bolt to bolt through some thin crimps and was pulling up on the matched hands, tried the high right foot and got it on but couldn't stick the right hand without falling backwards. Happy with how I went given it was my complete antistyle at my limit. Maybe try again in a few years when I'm stronger.

Went to check my beta for the top in full sunlight and ended up red pointing... Woops, sorry Tom

Sick climbing, just kept missing the hold

First go went to the top, then fell at the crux. Then had 2 good high points with the second one being 1 foot placement short of a send. Will be back to tick it off.

Pulled every move until just after the crux first or second attempt then lowered off happy with myself, just needed to work out my feet but was feeling pretty tired.

One of the two climbs I came back for, loved it and thankfully got it. First burn I couldn't do the crux again, lowered off and changed shoes but left the second draw in expecting to work the move some more. Next time I somehow did the move and went clean to the top but I had a voice in the back of my head (@bestofthecrag) telling me it wasn't a legit send so I tied in again and clipped every draw as I climbed.

Personally feels crazy hard for the grade but also have heard and can understand if you think it's easier.

2 ties-ins. Thought I had the ony when I fought through the undercling crux first go but couldn’t figure out the second crux. Frustratingly fell a couple of times on the first crux on my second tie-in. Beautiful route.

No way this is only a 26 but easier than no more gaps for sure

Could not for the life of me do bottom crux section, felt very hard for the grade. Very fun climbing after that

quality route! slipped off the reachy move above the crux 3 times but managed to get it done. Delighted!

Another dog lap to keep the beta fresh. Concluded that this should be climbed in the morning before the sun hits the wall.. Sideways progress atm. Still frothin' though.
