Ascents in Central as All free with rest

Saw this line last year. Was surprised how slippery the orange rock was. Had a vision for how the roof would go but took several whips to make it happen. Ended up setting the hands as far along the rail as possible and launching off poor feet to a massive deadpoint to catch a section of the top. Power scream for the win.

Enjoyed it as much as the first time. Probably because I didn't push through the second pitch roof and looked for gear options this time. Where there is ample good protection just a bit fiddly finding the best gear while hanging off the jugs. Last pitch has a beautiful position with technical traversing and down climbing to gain the upwards diagonal crack on grey wall then easy jugs on arete to the top.

Beautiful climbing with a committing crux! Got scared and up- and down-climbed the same section about four times before going for it and realising it wasn't so bad

Still couldn't get through the crux clean even with a big rest on the ledge. Will have to come back for this one again.

Pre placed gear to protect the bottom section. Took one rest at bottom

Managed to free the crux move this time. The move itself is around grade 26 I reckon, but difficult to know how hard it will be on send.

It's a shame it's so short!
