Ascents in South East

2.5 tries today. Not a particularly easy tick. Great route until the ledge at 3/4 height, which is a no hands rest, and makes it a bit inconsistent.

Topped off a pretty awesome first day at waterworks, sending 14 routes total which is probably some PB for me despite bailing at 3pm.

Chuffed with the onsite despite the hectic wind and drizzle. By the time I got to the delicate traverse at the top it was properly raining and the slab pretty wet. Every weather prediction we'd made was wrong, so hoping it would improve, Sam headed up on top rope and about 3 bolts in it was just shitting down. Wrong again! Very soggy batman clean to end the day.

Started raining but dryed super quick, the routes left look pretty good for a local.

Good fun, with some tricky traverse moves

Some nice moves, but I went too far right and got a bit lost. Might be good if you stay on track.

Easy to get lost, and hollow and loose holds up the top third. A great climb if you want to kill your belayer, otherwise maybe pass it up.

2nd go. Got lost up high and missed a hold on the OS.

Awkward! Fell off at the second bolts thanks to the grease factory. Just put the gear on and chalked her up.

Sick route, quite a bit easier than Offender, even on the soapy holds. Super proud of Steve who crushed this straight after! Boss.

Tricky crux but with a little advice from Tom I was able to work it out.

The conditions were less than ideal but I managed to move quickly through the greasy hold to take it down before packing up and heading home. Finished the trip with good sending vibes, cheers to Tom for the belay.

Nice and long. Bad rock, needs more cleaning. Seems harder than graded too. Fell off a couple of times in the fragmented crimps low down, initially restarted aiming to send but in the end happy just to move on.
