alt. lead, on the sharp end for the first pitch. Interesting... I think it gets at least one of its guidebook stars for being a face climb with bolt anchors. fun though.

Alex led it and I followed. A nice an open wall with some dodgy flakes but good pro and great position. Overcast and cold which did not add to the experience..

five hours of climbing but it was lot's of fun. Finished in pelting down rain and then, with thunder flashing, abseiling into a deep gully to escape. Quite an adventure! I think we went too far right and made it harder for ourselves.

The first climb I did on the Organ Pipes Most climbers bye-pass it these days. A good ramble up to the top of the Northern Butress.

A testing lead. The first 15m is sustained faceclimbing with some loose rock and care needed to find protection. The 2nd half is easier, with lots of ledges and gear. Elbow tendon not noticed.

Never in doubt. Knowing eactly what gear to place (and having it all shamelessly pre racked on my harness in order of use) certainly made it feel easy. A really good pitch of climbing.

Awesome pitch of climbing. Lots of good gear. Had climbed this before,remembered it feeling straightforward....Didnt feel straight forward today! Crux for me was getting to the jug in the r facing corner when you first get established on the colum proper.
