Ascents in Nordhessen having Beta

I quite liked the climb good approach for the 8

Lots of grass on the top out was not fun pulling through abseil anchors where non existent had to climb around and pull up under the roof to clean

Horrible conditions, so working on the crux only.

Really dangerous looking (and sounding) loose rock (marked with an X). Be very careful not to pull or step on it!

Use the third bolt of R5, or it will be a long runout.

Can‘t comprehend why someone would shit just beside it, as this is an amazing little problem

Finally found a beta that might work…

Wow… that felt so hard. Gonna need to get my self esteem back up in the climbing gym tomorrow.

The best thing about this route is that it’s probably the first one to dry up after a morning rain. Apart from that it’s not worth the hussle to find the wall in the first place.

Got very close to dislocating my shoulder on this on watch out at the second bolt 😅

Had to move left for a couple of moves. But it felt possible and the lower part seems interesting.

Not sure if three bolts on 15 meters of shady rock really define a „well-secured route“ as my guidebook states. Movements are cool though.

Finally redpointed that thing. Love the boulder problem right at the start.

What a line, especially towards at the exposed last meters. Definitely works as a dare for me.

schöne knackige Route

Don‘t know why the guidebook rates it as 6a+. It‘s easy climbing on nice holds, although the height sure is frightening.

First route in basalt ever! Flashed it all the way up to the second last bolt but had no morale to finish. Had to toprope...

Technical crux and powerful mantle. #shinyfootholds

Nice and easy. Just pretty

Short, fun dihedral with a technical crux. Unfortunately very polished.

Good route that is in turns powerful and delicate. AF w/o clips, but linking it feels far away.

Short but sweet, /w bouldery moves. Hard right off the bat, pre-clipping first draw advisable

Delicate slabby start followed by easy climbing along a flake. My beta for the overhanging top section felt a bit shaky.

Big overhang! First a pumpy section than a sloper boulder to the anchor!

perfect limestone route. crimps, pockets, pumpy route. really good crux sequence, fell on the last hard move.

Leider absolut nicht empfehlenswert (steinqualität, sicherung, fiese Griffe)
