Summary
Long routes galore. In this old factory site of "Pfanni!" (a german producer of potato products) you climb in fascinating old Purée-Silos.Growing old over the years, it was lovingly renovated and modernized between 2017 and 2021. It now appears in a new face and combines tradition and modernity. The 30 meter silos, the most famous attribute of Heavens Gate, remained and new, modern climbing and bouldering areas have been added. The result is a mostly barrier-free and modern climbing and bouldering facility for all requirements in the Werksviertel Mitte, an innovative and lively city quarter.

Open 7am - 11pm Mondays and Wednesdays 10am - 11pm Every other day
Approach
Exit East from the Ostbahnhof onto Friedenstraße and follow it south. After around 50m, turn left onto Grafinger Straße. Then, turn right into the Kultfabrik after another 50m. The climbing hall is the tallest building in the area with the entrance at the back of the building.

On the 44,000 meters of climbing researched for this book, epochal alpine milestones mingle with enjoyable new route creations. Climbing legends such as Albert Precht, Klaus Hoi and Heinz Zak comment on their passion for steep rock. Routes by climbing greats from long ago, such as Angelo Dibona or Hias Rebitsch, have been accurately recorded in line with modern requirements. There is also plenty of space dedicated to new routes secured with bolts by creative talents such as Ralf Sussmann, Rudi Kühberger and the author himself. 40 long routes with at least 20 pitches, where you can clip bolts in keeping with the spirit of the times, but sometimes also have to make do with rusty protection.
