A Crag Guide gives an extensive view of all sub areas and climbs at a point in the index. It shows a snapshot of the index heirachy, up to 300 climbs (or areas) on a single web page. It shows selected comments climbers have made on a recently submitted ascent.
At a minor crag level this should be suitable for printing and taking with you on a climbing trip as an adjunct to your guidebook.

summary
Vertical climbing on small crimps. Solid Rock.
description
One of the winter crags of Athens. It is faced to the sun all day long, not recommended for summer use since the temperatures get a bit high. The rock is made of great quality limestone and the routes have mostly crimpy holds. All of the routes are on the hard side of their grades and most of the low grade ones have a really hard for their grade start till the first two bolts.
approach
By Private Vehicle: Either follow Attiki Odos all the way to Markopoulo (where the motorway ends), or reach the small town by following Lavriou avenue. If coming from the south suburbs of Athens, a third alternative is to take Varis-Koropiou avenue, following the signs towards Markopoulo.
After Markopoulo town, stay on the road towards Lavrio and turn left on the first traffic light after the Municipal Indoors Stadium of Markopoulo (Δημοτικό Στάδιο Μαρκόπουλου) towards the Olympic Equestrian Centre. After approximately 2km, turn right towards Byzantine Church of Panagia Merenta (ΜΕΡΕΝΤΑ).
Continue straight and uphill for 4,8km to the point where the ascent stops and turn left on Likovrisis Street (ΛΥΚΟΒΡΥΣΗΣ). Driving on, for another 1,6km will bring you near the rocks, next to a small open field ascending towards them. Park your vehicle here and follow the evident footpath towards the crag.
Total walking distance: 150m, walking time: 2min, total positive altitude: 30m.

history
The crag of Markopoulo was discovered back in 2002 by Dionisis Stratigos. The first routes were progressively established till the end of 2005. Activity continued in the following years by various setters. In 2013 Y. Petromianos with the assistance of S. Sotiriou, E. Tsape, P. Asteriou and G. Poulidis completed a crag maintenance initiative.
