Ascents in Odyssey by o_g having sport-cpr or ascent-date

Would be classic if it didn't fight for independence with Elies at the crux. On-sight fight foiled at the crux. Tried to go direct. At the crux, the bolts are one foot left of your left hip, and their is a ticked sidepull jug for the right hand at 2pm. When you grab it, a bolt on Elies is at your right elbow. So it's all a bit compressed at the crux.... Easily second go.

Another great addition. Bouldery start, with a committing deadpoint to a blind sloping dish that luckily had good texture. Then an excellent broccoli slab to a rest below the steep finish. Save some biceps strength for the anchor clip, or better, look for a knee bar.

Excellent reachy climbing between spaced jugs, except for the difficult to read crux sequence where there is some T Rex moves on slopey pinches. Easily 2nd shot.

Good addition. Felt brutally hard on the shared top section where it steepens and the holds are polished. Still hot from the walk up, and immediately covered in a sheen of sweat, it was a slippery flash pumped battle to the chain.

Waited all day for the route to be free, and pounced at the very end of the day. This route seems to bounce between 7a+ and 7b, feels straightforward for 7b, but who am I to argue with the new guide.

Good moves, but painfully sharp.

Afternoon re-warm up. Got me warm alright. Had to crack pretty hard on a back two two finger pocket at 1/3rd height which was a shock to the system. The overhanging top half was awesome. incut jugs for the win.

Nice climbing. A bit of polish on the low footers required some care.

I thought this was good value. Easy then some steep face climbing.

Had to work hard. Good stuff.

While still reeling from the news last night that the 2.30 gyros shop is closing today and the family is moving to Melbourne, I managed to hold it together to get the tick. Sweet. Top felt super solid, but I managed to again fall of the easy middle section by getting lost.

Thin bouldery start (that I fell off). Nice long arete in good position up high. Does feel a little contrived keeping to the arete though.

Doest look like much, but nice climbing.

Struggled finding a consistent way to do the second crux on lead. Awful to lead without and extender on the crux bolt.

Long climb, two cruxes. Went bolt to bolt on lead, then did on top rope.

After belaying Ben's record setting accent, on which he managed to drop the rope while trying to clip the chains an amazing 8 times and still tick, I had to have a razz. Short, steep, and plastered in chalk. Given I was worried about hitting the left wall of the cave if I blew a clip, I thought it only fair to bridge off it. My groin now feels rooted, and not in the way I would like it to be.

Enjoyed the technical moves in the bottom half, but it all fell to pieces on the steep finish. Great climbing.

Tickled the final holds but barn doored off. Great route. Would of liked another go but was toasted by that point.

Project shopping. Went bolt to bolt, but really sustained and not enough rests for me to be a realistic chance of climbing it quickly. Even with more fitness the sting in the tail would be brutal!

Got to the Crux move on the onsight, read it well, just didn't quiet hang on. Surprisingly burly start, then a ok rest before the Crux sequence. Definitely one to come back to.

Went bolt to bolt feeling out the moves. Then realised I was geographically challenged and wasn't on the 7b+ I thought I was on.

The top half is great, reachy and bridgy. The initial easy slab detracts.

Have I done this before? It's likely.

Sharp holds at the bottom, then really polished up high. On average, really nice holds. Got a bit spicy as it steepened, too spicy for me....

Jezus. Thought id continue up this for the warm up. Felt absolutly nails hard, thought I was off three times. Ended up wedged in a prickly trench trying to recover before fighting to the chains drencehed in sweat. Possibly not the ideal warm up. Although I cant deny I was warm after it.

Good route, similar in style to its neihbours, although at least the crux is not at the top for once.

Technical slab to start, then easy till high overhang. Harder moves, but less pumpy than Satyros.

Close to onsite. Easily second shot. Nice tufa and overhang route. 7a+ 2010 guide.

Dogged (3 shots) 4/4. 2nd shot on 12/4. Good route. 7b in 2008 guide,

Pumpy top. Had to skip last clip.

A real pumper. I was blowing like a steam train.

Was going well putting the draws on, got to the second last bolt before grinding to a halt. Left of right at the top? After some prolonged dogging I choose right. Had a second shot but felt weak and blew it on the section to get to the rest at 3/4 height. Some nice Sydney gentlemen kindly removed my gear after getting the quick tick. I will also steal their sequence for the top. Win win.

First day on the island. Rocked up to the crag at 3pm, just as it is coming into sun. Not best practice, but good to get moving after 36 hours of travel. Nice slab with interesting chunks of conglomerate pebbles.

Polished and desperate.

Misjudged seqence on onsight, went direct after rest, should have went right. No problem 2nd shot.

Awesome. Misread top and pumped off. 2nd shot ok.

End of the day razz, ended in predictable failure on the juggy headwall. The jugs are there, they just needed to be bigger and closer together.

Fun overhang, but sharp unpleasent rock.

Tried a final route. Bad idea.

Warm down gold. The rock on this route is like delicious chocolate ice cream with penut chunks mixed through it. Really, thats not a metaphor for how sweet the climbing is, thats what it looks like!.

More nice slabbing.

2 boulder problems. Bottom one ok, then rest, then top one is at my limit. Doable I think.

Hard to get to enthused about this route. Easy start, hard crux, easy finish.

Warm up. I quite enjoyed this.

Jeez. Hard top. A real struggle 2nd shot, but held it toghether.

Nice warm up, bouldery move.

Pumped out at 3/4 height. Good beta from Glenn, but couldnt hold it together. Great route.

Nothing particularly memorable. Upgraded to 6a+ in the 2010 guide, the crux still feels harder.
