Ascents in Climbing

I think this was the one I was on, as had no guidebook. Was good from half way though a bit dirty in places, but at least it wasn’t polished. Mucked up bouldery start to hidden hold.

Polished rubbish. Feet slipped numerous times and the bolts are spaced enough as is.

Nice crack/chimney. Felt difficulty for the grade.

Very nice moves from hole to hole. Wished we had more time to try and free this one.

Crux at the second/third bolt. After some strong moves it gets easier.

A rather strenuous 4a...

Rather 5b or 5c than 4 or 5a as in some guidebooks.

Unfortunately still a bit wet.

Great route. Unable to do crux on-sight.

strange line and definitely hard for 5b. The first bolts have to be climbed to the right of the line, otherwise it is maybe 6a+ or 6b! (the actual line of the bolts seems un-graded) Then a lot of choss scrambling and at the end a nice little overhang.

Weird bolting, hard grade, chossy rock

Guidebook says 4b but it is very steep for that grade.
