Horrifying climb and fall

Kinda spooky without a spotter haha.

Within centimetres on several goes, but just couldn’t make enough space to bring the left toe up. Quite bunched for me.

Got greedy and tried for another bite of the cherry, mainly to keep David off it long enough to rest his fingers I easily climbed through both cruxes to the jug cleanly and feeling very fresh. I was sure I was about to repeat it. Unfortunately it was only then that I noticed the wind had blown the sling behind the edge of the block above and out of reach. Instead of just continuing on to the bolt itself I panicked, cursed a few times and called take. Oh well. I need to get more bold. At least I made David rest

First go of the session. High point. Climbed through both cruxes and numbed out on the jugs! 😬 Didn’t think that was possible. But major breakthrough.

Fourth attempt of the session. Skin starting to hurt and fingers a bit weaker. Was on 8th hold and thought left hand was going to pop. Tried to adjust which turns out to be a bad idea. Anyway every tie-in this session I climbed the bottom boulder and transition cleanly which I had never done before today so overall a great session.

Second go of day. Got through the first boulder and transition again but not feeling as strong. Got 8th hold but not well and came off. Still second highest point.

First go of session. High point. Got to 8th hold and going for 9th hold feeling really good but then just hesitated and got out of flow and didn’t use enough contact strength.

Second attempt on lead. Deadpoint to pocket is much more static, then bump to spike. One extra move in first boulder problem. Also worked out some new beta for the transition to second boulder problem. Starting to envy the dyno

First attempt on lead. Amazing how quickly this thing takes my skin. Realised the deadpoint to the spike is not the way. Too low percentage.

Third tie-in of the day. Pulled past first boulder problem to focus on second. Did second boulder cleanly again even with sore skin. Practiced the top again. I am now read to try to lead it next session with better skin

Climbed through the first boulder problem. Looked at the two options for the second boulder problem. Got close to the dyno, but it is very powerful and I feel like it would be low percentage even if I landed it once. Originally thought the right sequence would involve a heinous match, but worked out how to avoid that. Now it just involves a series of heinous bumps.

Didn't try to work this out in any intelligent way. Just chucked my left heel up a few times and tried to press it out and ended up back on the pads every time

Had four goes on this one but I don't think my shoulders and fingers were fully warmed up so couldn't quite make the right hand side pull. Definitely keen to try it again some time.

Nice up to the second bolt, then absolutely nails for up to and past the third bolt. Full slabbing, had to pull past the hard moves that felt impossible!

It’s way harder than it sounds. No way climb like this is v4, maybe 20 years ago

Too hard! Not my style.

Couldn't work out the start. Did the much easier variation starting from the small boulder

Had one go but didn't want to commit to the tricky high finish. Did the fun v1 variation to the right

Had a single go before needing to leave for toddler nap time. Very nearly pulled it off, wish I had time for a second attempt!

Falling after the crux again but felt tweaky on the left hand today so walked away.

Fell after the crux on multiple goes. Simply powered out at the end of the session. Longest Basin project to date 😂!

Tried a few different methods. Very close, just ran out of juice.

Couldn’t figure out the feet for the life of me.
