Ascents in Centro having Beta

What a nice finish of my stay in Teverga! And what a timing before rainy weather was coming in. Surreal warm winds coming from the south this morning, but really good conditions. I totally enjoyed the process of refining the sequences and every session having an improvement getting a new high point or doing a good new link. This is how projecting feels at its best.

A nice mix of technical and more powerful climbing.

The first pitch is a really nice technical slab.

What a fitting name for this route!

Pretty thin and quite run out to 5 and 6 with really small clipping holds. I took a nice whipper after realising I couldn't downclimb the nothing-holds I have climbed to get to the 5th. The clip was too spicy and I preferred to take the 5m whip. Too committing for a holiday project for me.

My flash attempted ended after 5th bolt, one move from the end of the crux. It eases off and is more steady in the second half. I am a bit annoyed I missed the flash but I hesitated way too much between 3rd and 4th and pumped myself out in the crux. It should be an easy second go.

Nasty little crux between 3rd and 4th. Top is very cool. Hung at the crux not knowing what to do. Committed after that and it was sketchy but fine

Warm up. First tie-in at Teverga for the season. Happy with this day flash/season flash. Last moves are still very burly. Got a flash pump for my efforts #3rdGo since I tried it twice last year.

A candidate for some rebolting and definitely more enjoyable when you stand above the grade.

So solid using the psyche from sending California 🤙🤙

Unexpected #2nd_go

I didn't find a solution that worked for me at the boulder.

I thought I had a time window with the sun behind the clouds, but no. Just at the first bolt the sun came out again...

I was lucky to read everything correctly and was super happy to stick the technical sections in the crack. It's important to have some energy left for the last part to the chains. 💪💪

Nice boulder with a committing move at ⅔ of the route.

Looks more fragile than it actually is.

Interesting slabby start and then glorious overhang in between the tufas. Always good options for holds. Really well bolted.

Vertical climbing in the middle of the cave, some run-out bolting and big moves to manage.

Some not so intuitive moves to make your way up around and in between the big tufa structures.

Nice diagonal traverse going upwards around the tufas.

Second go, still not easy. A lot of routefinding along the way and some moves that require you to commit.

Hard moves around the lower overhang, could not figure out a sequence

Hard start for the first three clips then easier slab climbing to the top

Good slab/face climbing with one tricky high foot sequence.

First pitch is really nice but not easy to onsight. Pretty continuous throughout the route. Second pitch felt very hard with odd moves along the way. Made my way up to the anchor pulling on some qds along the way.

Hard for 6a+. Some really nice sequences along the way, final move to the anchor probably the hardest of them all.

Bouldery start with suprising moves and a big mantle to make your way to the intermediate anchor. Second pitch not to be underestimated. Got down just in time before it started raining.

Another tricky start but the polished right foot holds if you go straight up. Second crux with a balanced clip and long move to the right. Felt as hard as the route to the left.

Not an easy start followed by a harder crux towards the top. Small feet and long moves. Easier on the second go.

Hard to read traverse at the start, hard clips on the top slab.

Tricky start with long move. Second part is amazing climbing on tufas, really good rock quality.
