Great way to finish the session on the upper wall

Amazing position easy 100ms+ exposure out on the arete finish

Didn't look at the topo in detail, the direct finish is the obvious line and the dramatic finish a beautiful line of this quality deserves.

The line is just as epic as everyone says, and i loved every minute of it. But i did feel just a little cheated taking the normal line, the direct finish is the obvious and better line

Led it twice, once in the rain after a certain figure 8 knot got stuck

Not up for the lead yet. I went to check condition, it was a bit wet, but really just too desperate for the lead

Horror show! Almost half the route felt like a no fall zone. Gear was spaced and average with some poor rock just to help your head game

1st E5 lead O/S outside of the quarries. Great and not too hard. No chalk on it so was a real exploratory journey up the left face. Sequency, technical, a tad pumpy searching for holds and getting gear right, bold. Just so good.

Sustained, varied difficulties but amazing climbing. I had to fight for this one. Lace it up ladies and gentlemen...but don't pump out doing so! Haha

Good gear if you're creative - cluster and go approach worked well. Loved the technical crux well above good gear and the airy 6m runout to next reliable pro. A cool head will see you through.

Juggy as hell. Would make a great solo.

In Wales for the weekend to climb Flying Buttress and Idwal Slab. 2 of us Multipitch taking it in turns to Lead & Second, Climbing on through. Cold and overcast, Showers held off until the afternoon.
