Misread the start. Fingers were not warmed up enough to make up for it with power

I knew from last time that going left towards the end is a bad idea and yet I almost did it again - it looks so promising...

Took me four attempts to figure out the start. So many bad holds with a few decent ones hidden inbetween.

Remembered the important bits of beta from last time. Pretty doable if you don't mess around too long anywhere.

Slipped at the start in the onsight attempt.

First bolt is pretty high. It's all jugs, so pretty safe, but some might prefer to bring a (long) clip stick.

Various options at the start.

Flintsbach delivers again. Tried it before a long time ago and didn't figure it out. Tried it again and worked it for a long time, again without finding workable beta. Then happened to see someone else work (much quicker) and find a beta. Gave it one more try this way and finally succeeded. And the best part about all this is: If you know how, 7- is actually not that far off...

(At the last bolt go far right, not left. Only issue with that is, that you may not be able to clip it depending on armspan. Alternatively, pinkpoint it. If the draw is already in, you can clip from below.)

Still remembered what to do from last time but fell twice anyway before finally doing it.

All about the mantle...

Lost the onsight to being stupid and not taking a look at the start. Fell at the first bolt... Crux requires committing to some very bad feet.

Right line.

Pretty hard for the grade. Went too far left on the first attempt.

Saving quickdraws

Wanted to do the direct but went too far right still (I think)

Nice line but hard to grade. It's significantly easier up until the last bolt. Then hard to say how far right you are supposed to go for the assigned grade. I ended up somewhere in the middle between the two anchors and could have clipped both. I don't see how one could climb even further right directly over the slab.

With the power of beta-master Diana who saw the one tiny foothold I hadn't considered and some morpho for good measure, I actually managed the boulder at the start. And then took a looong rest while remembering how the rest of Bob's Delight worked again

Bit pumpy as a warmup, but luckily plenty of rest positions.

Felt so much easier this time. Easy enough that I'm willing to try the variation next time, although I was happy never having to do the top part ever again. You better have a C0.5 otherwise it's a long way down if you mess up at the anchor
