What a beauty. Skippy has outdone himself here. A fine line with plenty of interest. Plenty of prawning action and forgot to unclip my first draw. But the psych was high. Another Fortress classic!

A little more prepped than it’s neighbour. Classic Gara crimps with a fun finish!

A short but really good unsuspecting independent climb with three distinct sections in the coolest of places.

Found the initial mantle harder than I remember. Stoked to be back on this beast.

Totally forgot the beta through the crux but hung around long enough to get it sorted.

Could almost call this an onsite it's been so long.

Spiders just keeps on giving

A really clean, stonking good line with great jams and pro. Stonking was the word of the day.

I was a bit spent by this point. Got up it okay but was working at the top. Went for the pure crack ascent also which got tricky at the top out. surprised not to completely crumble the chossy finish hold and blow my top out. I was reefing on that thing only to easily remove it from above 😐 nice lead Skippy.

An engaging experience. I loved the helix hug deep in the crack around the back of the pillars. Short but special.

A sweet finish to a great day.

Felt much smoother than my previous session but ended up being the gnarliest of fights. I got super close on my first burn and, leaving nothing in the tank, was pretty fortunate to pull through on my second shot. One of my most favourite/memorable routes at Ebor.

Such a great test piece. Always lets me know where my trad head is at. Had to work hard to gain the rest under the roof but calmed down after that and then cruised the lip of the roof which was a pleasant surprise.

Watched Skippy froth his way up this and send it in style. I soon joined in on the froth-fest. A special, high quality find.

If you're after trad and jamming practice, this Ebor gem is it. Throw on your BD's size 1-3 and plug your way up 10m of juicy goodness.

Clearly been a while since the last ascent. I dusted off a fair bit of dry lichen and dust with each hand and foot placement which was promptly channeled up the crack and into my face and eyes by the windy westerly. Just added to the experience. Another quality Ebor route.

Not having to worry about tricky gear placements and belaying and watching Benji work the crux moves no doubt went a long way...

Possibly did an alternate start to the original/more obvious line, but who would know (Lattanzio I guess). A little tricky to protect but worth the effort.

Such an awesome climb. I was really stoked to get this. In the end I recalled the beta from my last efforts, slotted the key cams and really enjoyed it. Still calling it the best climb at Ebor...(for me, to date).

Another nice line. Top-out is pretty ordinary - chossy and viney.

Fun! a little reachy and delicate in places

Coffs had had 150mm 2 or 3 days earlier and the top of this was swimming in it. Still, nearly all the moves you need remained dry but for the last two. A really enjoyable route.

A burly start for the grade.

Nails. Clearly I haven't been on slabs for a while. Got there eventually but the blank section had the Elvis legs going for a bit.

Another enjoyable lap on this scenic face. Second bolt (? the one below the tree before the first pitch belay) on first pitch needs attention. Unless my memory is playing tricks this carrot was loose!!!

Wow, what a sick climb! I weighted and then avoided the creaky honeycomb in the roof that others have mentioned, and was at the anchors on my first attempt but couldn't clip....don't you hate that. A shake out and a much smoother second attempt was warranted anyway for such a sick climb!

First time starting from below the ledge - new bolt? A really nice route that gets you thinking.

Another favourite. The dyno tested a few of the shorter peeps in the group, one of who almost got the move by laybacking the thin rail on the left! Love the exposed mantle - getting much easier than once upon a time.

Just classy really. Punchy from the start with pockets where you need them. Another favourite from the trip and a sure project for Timmy who swore his way up it.

A nice little warm up number.

A classic route in a stunning setting. completely spoilt for our first Tassie climbing experience.
