Tendonitis wrist lock up ow, then misread the crux sequence and didn't have the wrist strength/flexibility left to get out of trouble, pitched off on a good swinging fall into nothing. Super fun short route, tension heavy big moves for a tall dude. Climbs like a boulder route but definatly worth a raz. Ive got to come back and sort more efficient beta.

Gave this a red hot burn however the style change after the third bolt felt awkward and had me pumped. Reset myself after a hang and finished the last few moves. Hidden LH slot helped a lot.

My first real traverse in a climb. I forgot my chalk back and got scared shitless during the traverse on the second pitch as I could feel my fingers slipping on the holds. John Capretta came to the rescue by throwing me his chalk bag from the belay station. He attached it with a nut for added weight and landed the throw flawlessly. Just another multipitch shenanigan at Araps.

I don't think I've ever been this happy to be so thoroughly battered by a route. Every move felt like it needed to be thought out and have all options considered. Will be an absolute battle trying to get up this while placing gear.

And so it begins. The quest for my first at the grade. Went bolt to bolt to the crux with little effort as Mr Conroy is my beta king and we will likely climb this pretty much exactly the same. At the crux I tried a few different things as there seems to be a few options. Made all the moves and can have a go at putting together some solid links tomorrow. Powerful and sustained this beautiful line won’t go down easily. Hopefully this is the trip! Mega psyched!

Epic multipitch adventure. First pitch was super fun. Second pitch was a bit spicy to second with some committing moves along the traverse. Did the crux clean then foot slipped down climbing from the piton before the anchor and whipped. Took my biggest whip yet on the third pitch after unclipping the piton around the arete.

One of the best bits of climbing/ rock I’ve ever been on, 2x working laps. I think I did everything but the hard right hand shouldery move, but with better footwork that should be fine. Super stoked to train hard and try this when I’m back.

After Rick's solid lead attempt, I went up on pre-placed gear to the crux. Took a few good falls from the crux mantle before finding the crucial hold. Still felt stressed through the climbing from the ledge even though I had seconded through it before.

A bit of a one move wonder. That move is quite long and the hold not quite good enough though. Fun enough climbing around it for a micro route.

Pitch 1 only. Ran a rope down this at the end of the day after finishing Judgement Day (sacrilege I know !) just to have a play. Complete body workout, and some of the jams hurt but that's probably because I am soft. Hard off the ground and feet are slippery in parts. The line and aesthetic of the rock are better than the actual climbing for mine ... (controversy!) Will obviously come back, but won't do it last thing of the day next time !
