Wendelstein Tutte Arrampicata sportiva 47 vie in parete

The Wendelstein is a rocky outcrop of some hundred metres length on a gentle mountain top in a pleasant setting in light spruce forest. Its pleasant appeal and proximity to settlements already attracted the attention of a Nature club at the and of 19th century, that initiated the construction of a "Promenade" with benches and a small amphitheatre, creating a remotely park-like atmosphere. Additionally, the summit has been used for geodesic markers until the 1960ies, which is explained by some information boards.
