An artifice right next to a decent crack: awful slopes below, solid ironstone pockets above.

Pretty solid and straightforward. Think there were a few cams in breaks as well as the bolts.

Average desperation and wierd funky moves the lefter you go ...

Why bother coming to these "outer limits" of reason? The routes, rock, access, bolting and aspect are all complete crap. Stick to the main area and at least do some real climbing.

Only reason I did it was to diss it.

Surely Andrew's bulge was the product of youthful virility, not the sagging inevitability of corpulent old age, because here is a sport climb with cracking jugs and moves to match: yank, crank and shoot you way to glory and be glad!

Left lower-off maillon is worn.

Fun gymnastics! Solid leg bar at base then edge and face hauling without too much pump. Not entirely sure this is the described route, as not marked and has new stainless carrots.

Really clean, and ironically, much easier than Dyke, as you just have to Stand Up

"Walk out" in approach shoes and pack - not so simple!

Very average indeed ... haul up the breaks then spicy moments on the foot traverse, assisted only by somewhat gritty slopers. Since the object once identified as "carrot" now resembles "Cadbury Flake" (melts in your mouth and fingers) a different exit strategy appears prudent, and leading absurd.

Definitely not 18!

Difficult slopy topout.

Boulder start indeed: haul or campus into the wall then easiliy up the jugs. Maybe 18-19 start.

Slopy topout encouraged use of top rope.

A nice straightforward climb but can't give it 17.

Tough! Hard to place cam in high final flare whilst avoiding being spat outwards and downward.

Lead on Al's draws, straightforward.

Lots of ironstone rims to the right of the bolt line.

Add a grade or two starting at the overhanging base of the arete, otherwise 16 from on bulge on left.

Not a bad wall, and easier over the roof than its brother.

Solo FA

Appears to be original route on the right of the wall, which is marked, has a chipped high right foothold, and goes up the flake to old bolt. The apparent line under new bolts has no mark and goes straight up.

No much before the cracks give out then pretty thin on the carrots.

Slabbing - that obscure art. I know one is supposed to Trust Your Feet and Just Step Up, but how easy is that? Struggled through with enough clean patches to stick on.

Getting the slab head in.

Lent Nathan my two #4s and a #5 which he most ably placed and lead. Can also use smaller stuff in breaks so no need for any bolts. Even has a garden seat from which to belay at the top!

Finally something clean in the goofy shoes.

Don't bother uncoiling the rope! Weird bolts, bits falling off and scrabbling for grip on gritty black slopes.

Jf you must bother with this very easy juggy wall just set up a nice clean top rope

This has all you need: one harder move up a glued-on flake that hopefully will soon tear off, 3m grade 3 hands-free traverse, then a dirty grade 12 slab to usual anchors topped by shrapnel. Even better to rope solo with that potential swinging feeling.
