First pitch was nice climbing (poorly managed the rope drag though) and third pitch was an awesome introduction to stemming. Second and last pitch were very so-so (poor Rob led these).

Drag not too bad on the first pitch so long as you are clever. Bring a bolt plate if you choose to use the carrot. Had a magical moment watching the pines drop their pollen in unison. I wonder if there is a more elegant way of doing pitch three than worming your way up, points loss for me on style. I found the pro a bit tricky to place also.

Quest for Mr chicken pt1: On the first pitch of the chimney I made a belay and there was a lizard chillin around... No biggie. Until, it wouldn't leave me alone and started attacking me, I defended myself with a small stick while belaying kat. I have never been so terrorised by such a small animal. It tried to dismantle the anchor while kat was still on it, thus dropping her to her death. It also held my favourite hex hostage while I desperately tried to keep kat on belay. Once kat reached the anchor, it retreated into a crack and stared at us while we cowered in the corner. We Moved the belay up 5 metres and quested on. I'm convinced that it was an eshay that had been turned into a skink. Climbers warned.

Climbs much better than it looks. That said if a second has a bag it might not be as nice. Epic! Beautiful chimneying, and the queen Emily Gilev sent Mr Chicken while I cheered her on! Proceeded to do a little FA from the top, that involved a slightly death-defying leap over a chasm, climbing a tree and doing two cute little pitches! A perfect afternoon adventure!

First pitch was amazing... Interested and engaged the whole way. I'd like to do pitch 3 again by stemming and chimneying more instead of climbing the ramp most of the way... Although the chimney moves above the detour were pretty bloody committing and exciting. Pitch 2 and 4 were scrambles with an ounce of climbing. Would definitely repeat!

Woke up in the campground for my first morning and got riled up to do the squeeze test in attempt to go to Mr. Chicken. Nobu, Marta and I went and did the squeeze (upon which I promptly said I would not do mr chicken haha!) then went off to climb Watchtower Chimney. I led all the pitches and Nobu tried and got stuck in Mr Chicken leading to a great first full day in Araps. Good times!

Led pitch 2 and 4 (through the super awkward chimney, not the face!) Such an awesome climb! Lost my chalk bag on pitch 3 while chimneying, so we had to lower and repeat the pitch on toprope - fun times!!

Lovely corner climbing on the first pitch, with some tricky laybacking in sections. Lots of loose rock in the bottom of the chimney, so decided stringing pitches 1 and 2 together wasn't a good idea. P3 is the chimneying, which felt a little run out, and thrutchy in parts. Overall probably much more serious at the grade than something like Bard. Led P1, soloed P2, seconded P3-4 strung together.

First climb for the day on a brisk morning. Had that good old Arapiles rock feel. Cold moves on the steep sections linked the first 2 pitches to the bottom of the chimney. A bomber belay spot to watch the next pitch. Had a look at 'mr chicken' squeeze then continued on. Made it interesting by making our own squeeze further up on a big wedge rock.

Lucky to still have a bolt plate from the Bluies in my chalk bag! I found the 1st pitch much more demanding than I was expecting. The chimney was surprisingly enjoyable.

Amazing climb! Led the first pitch which is long and absorbing, loved it. The bolt is not needed, there's plenty of pro placement in the small horizontal crack underneath. The second pitch is very easy (as per the forth). The chimney on the third pitch is impressive, but great!
