Had so much fun on this with Matt. His first ever multi and my first in the Bluies, on the first day of the new year. Epic! I lead all pitches and had a blast. Matt pumped out on the crux of the second and fell, but could still reach the rock, avoiding the need to prussic. First pitch was enjoyable and pretty consistent slabbing with one distinct crux section. Pitch two was also enjoyable, but less consistent, with the main bulge providing all the excitement and difficulty. The exposed start of pitch three was outstanding, particularly in the fading twilight, but otherwise very short and simple. Overall, it was a blast!

This was great! And since it was a cool morning, we thought of doing it while the sun was on the wall — that was a mistake, it got really hot! I guess it is December, should probably not do this in the sun in summer! Lovely place though, great views, a fun one move wonder in the crux of P2, and a short but sweet P3 with such a cool photo opportunity! I am logging as if I led P2 and P3, but François also led those, cause we were climbing in 3 and the first leader just pulled the first rope (2 single ropes) up so that the second could lead as well!

Interesting afternoon of cold and wind. Peatey potatoed it and went up the first pitch of the line to the left at 22 (no wonder it felt hard for a 16!). The second two pitches were awesome.

A great outing. Pleasant couple of raps to get going, then some memorable climbing to get out. Go in the late afternoon and watch the sun lighting up the walls across the valley. Beautiful.

Terrific climb. Strong westerly winds badly effected narrow neck and boar's head, however Bellbird Wall quite protected. Pitch #2 & #3 are great fun with lots of exposure. For a quick outing consider skipping 49m pitch #1. The whole climb is really well protected.

The Crux moves around the hand traverse were really nice, and of course you're here for the roof chimney. The rest of it is less inspiring. As noted the second must carry prussics, we had to use them on this climb

A truly beautiful climb! Definitely worth your while nice easy hauling on the first pitch, up a slightly thin section then up to a belay. The second pitch meanders a little and the slightly exposed hand traverse is pretty fun! Third pitch is easy (did it in hiking boots as my feet were sore) and provides a great photo op for the leader.

A-MAZE-ING must get on this again. awesome climbing. not too exposed, great belay ledges. morning sun, out of the westerly winds. P1 - nice, long slab. cool blank portion about half way up adds a bit of spice even though the bolts are super close. tip* bring some extendable draws to cut rope drag P2 - $$$ pitch. i would say the whole pitch is fairly sustained with the definate crux near (before & after) the overhang section with some delicate climbing on the slab above. so fun!!!! P3 - pretty straight forward (easy) chimney traverse out onto headwall. jugs the rest of the way up. probably overgraded for a (15)

Awesome morning out! Rapped in just as the sun was rising and was out of the wind the whole climb. This climb has everything! Slab, arete, steep hand traverse, chimney and roof all packed into 100m. Will definitely get on this again.

What a cracker of a climb, great exposure on the second and third pitch. Highly recommend doing this as practice for bunnies bucket. Definitely leave your anchor setup at the second rap to make the pulldown slightly easier.

A starlight night ascent as a 3. Beautiful night with moonlit belays, a lightning storm to watch in the distance and some great climbing. Every pitch so different and so cool. Party climbing the 2nd pitch was a blast and laughing a lot as a sleep deprived, exhausted Lucas got totally lost leading the 3rd chimney/roof. F'n brilliant night and highly recommend the experience. P1 - me onsight lead, P2 - Jimmy (me 2nd clean), P3 - Lucas (me 2nd clean). Cheers boys!

Great climb. As everyone says three different style pitches with amazing views over the valley! Pitch 2 is easily the climbing highlight and pitch 3 has the amazing exposure when coming out of the chimney in the roof!

Lead pitch 1 and 3 P1 is really fun, not at all pumpy since its all slab, P2 is definitely more of an 18 than a 17 with its small section of very steep/overhung climbing about halfway up it. P3 might only be 15, but feels harder with the exposure. awkward moves through the chimney when you're tall and even harder with a back pack. In shade the whole day, took about 2hrs once all the rope were pulled through

WOW!!!! was not expecting that!!! such an amazing adventure!! An inspiring rap in and such varied climbing on all 3 pitches! And shade after 2pm..... The top pitch especially was a freaking rad surprise and had me giggling like a girl!! Loved it!! Couldnt have started 2014 in a better way!!!

Great pitch, not so great for seconders, we had three parties and every seconder came off and had to prussick up the traversey overhang. Much to the disdain of the party following us (sorry!).

Accidentally sandbagged my partner by sending him up "the next doctor" he made it to the clear crux of the first pitch before we decided the 23 he was on definitely wasn't a 14 Bellbird was great, even climbing into the night due to a late start. make sure you use a long draw for the overhang on the 2nd pitch or the rope drag makes things more difficult. second pitch 1 and onsight pitches 2-3 (3 in the dark)

My rest day lasted until lunch time until I decided I wanted to do this. SO GOOD. epic, instant exposure traversing right, catch your breath, adjust your balls and blast up the face/arete. 5 stars from me, a must do.
