Pre placed a nut in the crux

Felt like I snuck up on this one today. After work session on a beautiful evening. Jumped straight on, went way better than expected, back home in time for dinner and tv on the couch. 👍

First lead attempt. No surprises here. Felt hard and pumpy, but keen to keep at it. Couple of top rope shots as well.

Harder than I remembered! Great route though.

Warmup repeat. Hard little route.

Wasn’t warmed up and minced it. Technique and mental analysis was real shite for whatever reason.

Managed to rip a cam by placing it in a flexy block (cam broken afterwards). On inspection it was the cam that caught the gear ripping, 15m mega whip in Townsville so it honestly had no business being in the rack.

I’m sure there is probs a lesson there about retiring compromised gear 🤷‍♂️

Better than it looks. Would be 2 stars if you couldn't step across the gully to the other wall.

Mega flash pump but got up it. Great climbing.

Tough initial section. Lovely second section. rested once at the crux. Very worthwhile.

Satisfying to get on a finger crack. Top section was a little damp and mossy, but not too bad.

Amazing finger crack climbing to the break at 2/3, then it gets a little less elegant.

Top roped using the rap rope to get out. Only just squeeked up it. Really good climbing. Needs a bit of cleaning on the top section of crack, but ace and unusual balance climbing.

Old tick. Date a guess.

With Al, a bit muddy, but would be really nice if clean
