E-W traverse

Good climbing to begin, then scary.

Brilliant day out. Epic waves.

Spent a lot of time off-route.

A great day out and a must do at this crag if you have a fair bit of time (took us 6hrs for a party of 3). Took all our gear with us from left to right. Stoked to have experienced this route with a sustained traverse throwing up some different challenges and new learning.

1 fall on the first piece.

The Plank would be heady on lead.

Tough moves.

Good to do a climb on 'Mollusc Wall' but the second half was an unpleasant experience. At about 2/3 height while working a nut in my foothold on a sandy ledge collapsed, blinding my belayer and inciting some choice language from me.

A thin spectra sling will go around a sharp flake at the top of the route before traversing left.

Great day out, well worth the trip.

Done with Thai the Park ranger at the time. Awsum route, best traverse i've done yet. We then reversed each pitch onsight. 200m in 2 hrs.Rock on.

Very testing start; a typical Colin route from the 70s.

Rock deteriorates up high, as for all routes here.
