Epic. Had one go but eventually found good beta for the heady top

Tried this once years ago and didn't come back. Got on it this morning and 'forgotsited' it to the last few moves, blew it going for the chains and went for a nice ride! Forgot how heady the top is.. keen to get back and tick this now..

Foothold of death at top of cave is bomber, still - don't kill your belayer.

Sweet. This was my goal for this trip, and got it done! With not a drop of chalk on it, it was a tricky, sequency number, but totally suited my style of climbing. Even in the full sun, it was fun!

Nothing physically harder than grade 23, but lots of technique and committment called for. I climbed the arete direct all the way to the top. Almost a classic (but for the poxy start, and the overall shortness).

Loved it though I had to wrestle with the fin.

Agonisingly fell after gaining the arete. Got some good technique tips from Aussie for the fin: layback the lightning for glory!

One of the coolest climbs I've ever been on, loved it.

Technical and puzzling on a cool feature. Physically not too bad.

Epic climb! Techy lower crux into awesome serrated pants splitting adventure. Head game has come a long way. Six months ago this climb would've had me crying in the corner 😂

First go putting the draws and warming up, felt like I forgot the beta down below, but top didn't feel as hard as before.

After 4 failed attempts falling on the traverse or just after it, I managed to hold it tight and make my way to the top... before heading to the anchor there was a lot of adrenaline going on... but took Nick's approach and rested before going for it and made. Amazing climb, very happy to have made it as I haven't climbed any arete like this before.

Stunning Line.

Ultra classic material on an ultra arete. Up there with the likes of them big shot 24s such as Black Heathen, Language of Desire etc.

This route reminded me of an aunt who as growing up we kids were terrified of. There was no apparent reason to why she was so scary, maybe it was just the demeanor/persona overall which contradicted the reality of her utter sweetness.

Similar the last few moves on this route will give you jitters, especially right at the very top. Remember kids the bolt is right there but ask yourself, "Why, WHY are you shitting yourself?". There was no apparent reason. Its was all in the mind.

If you find yourself lonely up there; start praying, take a few deep breathes and then commence smearing on nothingness while laybacking on the knife like arete, remembering what Red says in Shawshank, "Hope is a good thing, may be the best of the things". So HOPE that those feet stay on. Pheewwww.

Finally opened the account on this one. Amazing position. Exposed ,airey and fairly scary.

Off the charts and out of this world! Shit start into probably the best arete in NSW? I got scared and fell off the top multiple times. Harder and better than Disco non-stop party. I will be back!

Another lap. Starting to clean up nicely now.

Gets a 'good' for the climbing but the rock is shithouse and the start gets really dirty due to the slabby ledge covered in dirt/sand! Couldn't pull the start at first with an inch of dirt on the holds...

Wowsers! Powerful start followed by a technical sequence to get established and then the super engaging knife blade arete. Good stuff

Love this climb, feels like adventure climbing in the blueys. A few punchy moves down low (hint: don't blind dyno to sandy jugs) leads to interesting and varied corner climbing. Makes you think!

Not a virgin no more! After several full days of cleaning and bolting I'm very happy to have sent this on my second real attempt. Was so excited that I skipped a clip at the crux and pulled a nice piece of rock off on the way up! Bust through the choss to reach a cruxy few moves then enjoy the adventure out and up the arete to the top. Not over until it's over.

Really enjoyed this, super cool up on the face. Nice little adventure
