Offwidth

An epic lead by Amrit Appadan supposed by Iniyan Sivaneri bumping up #5 and #6 for a fair distance.

Offwidth crack

The crack starts to the right on the south facing wall, as a hand crack, traverses left and opens up into the crux off-width. Past the offwidth, further short traverse to the left as hand crack and then along a flake and then the heady but easy top- out.

Rack: Upto #4, or #5 (optional).

Anchor: Crack (Finger and hand cracks)

Natural Anchor: Boulder and tree. Long anchor.

The second biggest cove area, directly near the port and ship docking area (http://kko.to/pRLchd7fj). A strong traverse with sharp crimps make a splendid workout.

7b if you climb directly over the overlap. Around 6b if you climb the crack.

5.11d on some old route list. In the route tag at the start of route reads 5.12a now. It must have been upgraded.

Warm up on the right of No name (steep), start from the left, the grade depends on how far you traverse to the right

Traverse to roof, strong intense finger sequence and feet trusting near the anchor.

About 60 odd meters to the right of route Street Hawk.

The traverse from right to left, along the crack, and top out through the Decepticon line. Creative placements in the crack for the traverse. Vertical crack is well protected.

The crux is the traverse section to connect to the vertical crack.

Rack: Hand-sized pieces and below.

Top Anchor: Since a traverse, a top-anchor that would connect the entire traverse might be complex. However, a top anchor from atop the boulder could be setup using small pieces, or just pink-point as your project the traverse, with pre-placed gear in the crack.

The climb’s start is punctuated by a young neem tree growing in front of it.

Be gentle with the tree. It could help soften the grade at some point. If you pre-clip the first bolt and climb from left of the tree along the arete, and continue to the second bolt, the grade is no harder than 5.10a/b, but still an excellent and enjoyable climb, that takes you along crystal block to your right and crimpy slab to your left.

If you reach the bolt along crimpy and slabby finger pockets, grade jumps just for those few moves.

Project above the line is to extend it for a multi-pitch to the roof. Anchor stations in place

Follow the bolted line for intricate moves

Starts just above a boulder about 10-15m right of Cherez karniz. Climb right of the bolts for 6c, left for 6b.

Multipitch standard equipment, 20 quickdraws. Longest pitch distance 50m. Be careful with some rusty hangers.

There are 2 hangers on the rock for the belayer because the route is next to the chasm.

little dynamic movement start with side climbing towards the top, mail-on bail.

Overhanging right to left traverse.

Traverse from right to left with good holds.

Overhang start, then up tufa corner. Amazing classic!

Naga (Dragon) is an approximately 270m climb in 8 pitches on the South Tower.

The route has bolted anchors and bolts but is rather run-out especially on easier ground (making this an adventurous sport multipitch or mixed climb). A small set of cams from micros up to BD sizes 1 or 2 will help to mitigate that.

There are a couple of sections at the 6b/+ level but the majority of the climb is very accessible. Leaders should be experienced and comfortable at that grade.

Access to the climb is via the path up from Simukut Hiilview. A left turn at checkpoint #7 (following the "climbing point" sign) will take you to the base of the climb.

Descent can be done via the same way or down "Polish Princess". Please speak to Tam for more information on this.

The finger crack just right of 'Tri sheli'. Starts at a ledge which is reached by scrambling up the right-leaning ramp. There are a number of old bolts, but it's better not to clip them. Descend from anchors on the ledge.

The right of the two obvious cracks that start on the sloping ledge just right of 'Plyashi v ogne!'. There are three squares painted on the route halfway up the crack. Belay at the chains of 'Plyashi v ogne!'.

Start as for Grib (left), but move right at the rooflet to reach the ledge. There is a bolt and rap ring for descent. BD #4 cam necessary.

Long route the begins at the left side of the small cave, just right of the short routes that end at the obvious ledge. Pumpy long route with tufas, knee bars, slopers, underclings, and a lot of 3D climbing. This is a must do at LK.

Coolest line on the rock, limestone slab into a roof. On the Wave left of the arete. Video 10:15.

Follow cracks and tufa up face to anchors just L of Mars Attacks, 4 bolt, 1 thread. 6b+ variation is a 3 bolt addition starting low on the tufas left of Ina Flores. Climb up and L using the tufas on the face and connect a bit higher up Rainy Season. For an even longer variation, instead of connecting to Rainy Season, stitch together with Cafe De Wawa and finish on SMB's anchors.

6b+ if you climb to the left of the crack. 6a+ if you clomb in the crack. Seeps for some time after rain.

A harder start onto the slab. With smaller hand/foot holds later on.

Recently rebolted line on the right of the cornflakey tufa. Pretty mossy at the moment, but with some interesting moves. Grade to be confirmed.
