Rapped off: the usual very hard pull on the first rap and got a rope tail wrapped around a block/crack up above, had to re-lead the chimney and traverse to free it then downclimb. The rap often provides a fair bit of trouble and I wouldn't recommend it, walk off.

Probably the worst route I have ever climbed, certainly at Araps. Between the garden of the first pitch, the poor rock of the second pitch (which makes for poor gear) and the overall poor quality of movement, I can't stress how much you should avoid this route. Generally I'm I think any climbing is good climbing, but I was really questioning that here. Sure there was some nice chimeny moves on the top pitch, but 5m of alright climbing can't make up for the remaining 95m of garbage.

Went for a sunrise solo because I happened to be awake early. Must have been a bit tired because some moves felt more commiting then they should have at grade13. Kept the brain under control though so I'd call that a win.

Scary first pitch. Exciting traverse. It has 4 pitches. The last one is as for Dunes. 3rd pitch has interesting moves out out roof.

Engaging climbing straight off the bat lead to quite an adventure. Used up most of my pro on the first pitch and decided to not link P2 & P3. Was doing P2 and it didn’t look like I’d done 12m at what I now know as the small stance (small stance has an old belay chain!!!). I kept pushing for another ledge that never came. Climbing though bushes and a lil spicy move for what I thought was a 13 made me think I was severely off route. Eventually making a ledge, I set up a belay with the last of my slings. Turns out I linked P2 and P3 accidentally. Overall had a blast leading this. Certainly scratched the itch with this lead.

Have led this a few times and was fun to second. Tried a stick-clip and it worked, though would have been easier if bolt was a fraction lower. Oh well, the bolt wasn't placed with stick-clip in mind. Probably grade 15 with stick-clip, 17 without.

Lead the first pitch and rigged it as a top for some friends. Very enjoyable climb that the friends found pretty challenging for the grade. Cruxes are the first few metres in the crack and then the balder patch climbing up past the (very well placed) bolt.

Great route, especially on a hot day to escape the sun! Andy led the first pitch, and despite someone describing it as 'the worst pitch at Arapiles' he enjoyed it. Protection, while poor, was better than expected. Rap chains protect the final traverse. I led pitches 2 and 3. Pitch 2 has a few interesting sections, and pitch 3 has just the one which feels quite stiff, but couldn't be better protected. There was a couple of pieces of booty on pitch 2 left by previous parties, that we were unable to salvage.

Definitely type-2 fun! Gear beta: If you thrutch up the chimney crux near the start, a number 5 or 6 cam (or both!) make it a pretty reasonable climb in terms of protection. Without, you'd be looking at a substantial runout through some hairy climbing.
