Ascents in North West having Beta

Profound crux was bushbashing to the start of the route. Kinda amazingly bad climb to walk ratio given this is probably the longest route in australia. Route finding is easy, just follow the red line. Didnt place any nuts but placed purple totem pretty regualrly you could almost take triples if you want to protect the route. Simuled everything except the 16 and 15 pitch which isaac had an epic on . 7 hours. With a few more bolts this could actually be a fun route.

So pleasant, half pink half red

First half is pretty dialed now. Little bit of progress on the crux. Maybe would be good to top rope it to sus the holds at the end of the crux.

After the micro crimp for the right, there’s a better crimp further up for the left. Right foot is left and a bit up from the draw, left foot is a little bump just right of the chalky undercling. Can pull up from this position but doesn’t feel awesome. Kept snatching at the big chalky area and taking whips, not sure what part to grab.

Night time climb! Absorbing. Quite epic actually. Definitely the spookiest grade 11 climb I’ve done. Happy to call it a sandbag. Only placed cams cause nuts are silly little things.

It climbs way better than it looks and it's way less dabby than I thought.

Not too hard with a good sequence, but it's very beta dependant.

#repeat Last climb of the trip before heading off to the Gramps. Still an excellent climb. I forgot how bad the belay placements are at the end of the 2nd pitch. Probably could do with some bolts here.

Warmed up rehearsing the moves and it went first shot today!!

Offwidth start into a puzzle of a box to escape out of. Super cool.

Headpoint. Not really X-rated with the right gear, but fairly engaging. Not a good first of the grade.

Absolutely awesome moves through varying terrain. A no.3 is nice to protect the bold last move.

Ground up evening activity, super fun, but very committing.

Climbed AO a while ago, onsighted the variant crux. Had a pretty spicy experience doing the moves above some questionable gear. Pretty cool that such a small variation to AO feels like a completely different climb.

Not R rated in the book, but definitely deserves the R. The real crux is well protected, but theres a 4-5m of runout above a .2 & .1 which was thought provoking way to start the day

Zen buddhism mediation type of climb. Until the last pitch when Luke and I couldn’t hear each other. But otherwise super lovely, good, pleasant, nice, relaxing, flowy, sublime, enjoyable.
