Ascents in Black Range bouldering

First v8. To the top after sticking the toe on my fifth go. Up there as one of the coolest moves I've done on a boulder outside.

Classic compression

Lots of ways to gain the high left edge, found that a toe hook transitioned to a heel wrapped around the edge works well. Solid right toe underneath the rock is important.

Not enough power to get the left hand throw. Might need to try different feet positions.

Took a few tries to figure out I should cross right hand from the start holds.

Still stuck on move 1: keeping the right toe on means I hit the gaston too low, and hitting the Gaston higher means I lose the right toe. Can't move the feet without falling off.

Too pumped at the end to go for the high right hand.

Heartbreaking dabs on the jump for the first two top out attempts and heel popped on the 3rd attempt during top out turning into a scary fall🥲

My fingers only just got in the cracks lol

Foot slipped and dropped the flash. So silly. Easy 2nd go.

Most heinous V3 by far.

Softest V3 in Australia? Probably a V1.
