Really fun slabbing, right up until the mystifying top crux. Either need some fancy beta, fancier footwork or to grow 4 more inches..

Hard second pitch, very height dependant I think. My second could reach between the breaks and found it not so bad. I was having to all out jump.Rather airy doing this on the arete.

Super choss corner that feels like it is going to try and kill you gives way to brilliantly committing, mildly terrifying arête balancing. Take some bolt plates (no mention of this in the guide book.

Hideous disgusting choss. Utterly offensive and terrible. I won't give the whole route a quality rating though because I didn't get to try the upper pitch which is obviously the reason to climb the route. Pitch one was just so so bad though! Bleh.

Onsight P1. Interesting climbing, but consists of actual disintegrating sand-choss for much of it.

Linked into P2 to try and climb it as a giant singlepitch, before getting scared of the rope grinding on the choss below and the alpine winds got the better of me. Reversed the crux and backjumped to the belay. Might be okay, but requires bolt plates, and probably a 0.5, 0.75 and 1 BD Cam to make it comfortable.

2nd shot. Put in a proper good effort on the "onsight" and just didn't find a single hold mid-crux. Committed, tried hard, read the route right. Gotto be happy with that.

A 5m section of hard arete climbing on P2, but the rest of the pitch is only about gr23.

Still cool, but looks better than it is, and its quality is tempered by the hideous 1st pitch, and the terrible equipping. Bareback is better.

Bring 4 x Bolt Plates, a 0.4, 0.75 and #3 cam -to supplement some crazy runouts and the bad bash-in carrots.

Simon's photo of Stephan in the guide has always captivated me so this one has been on my list for a long time, great to work up the nerve to actually try it! Struggled a bit but managed all the moves, placed a red alien in the early horizontal and wished for bigger cams up higher on the the run out easier ground. It's going to be a good one to pice together next time.

Great route. P1 - led clean (adventurous for sport), P2 - climbed clean to bolt before crux. Couldn't make the final move of the crux and with a stretchy 2nd rope not on autobloc I ended up having to aid through to the break (seeing where I should have been reaching for!). Climbed the rest fine - watch the rock at the top - I pulled a huge chunk off.

What's not to love, this route has it all. Old school corner stemming, thin slabbing, committing positions and awesome arête climbing with a little rooflet thrown in for good measure. P1; led by Andrew. Broke a previously glued flake right near the ground (directing the hold into his own testicles) making this more like a 24ish? sequence to get off the deck. P2; psyched to onsite.

Frothing. All time mega classic. First pitch feels tradalicious, except on shiny rings. Second pitch is brilliant, funky position dependant arete climbing. Fell at the start (stay low for the right traverse) and at the top little overlap - there's a sneaky kneebar up there. Can't recommend these 2 pitches enough

The full gamut of emotions on this one. With not a drop of chalk on the crux pitch, I pushed and pushed on the onsight with every trick I had, only to eventually fall off between the last bolt and the anchor, in the final few moves (getting the wrong foot up on the arete).

Both pitches are brilliant in their own right (don't underestimate the 1st pitch, I fell off the first move as a warmup!), but it comes with some giant caveats that make it a mission to climb -not the least of which is the hideously positioned belay bolts, which necessitate a hanging belay, rather than just a semi-hanging belay with a few seconds of forethough as to their position. P2 is certainly one of the top 3 aretes in the Blueys, and reminds me of a more intense version of Teenager for the CIA. Certainly one of the most arete-y aretes in the mountains (and conveniently bolted, unlike Koyaan arete).

Had a decent onsight effort on the second pitch. Found it quite reachy and hanging the draws was the crux. Came off in the top third and then dogged to the top. Fell off above the last bolt on my second go when I missed my footer and very very very slowly barn-doored off. Devastating. I shall return. I also think that there should be a bolt to protect the step across move, it seems dumb that you could break yourself on this one section for no reason. Harry flashed which was fucking rad.

My unchalked onsight of P2 ended at the 3rd last bolt (and the last real move) when I finally made a footwork mistake, with all the hardest climbing in the bag . Despite being aesthetically ugly, the moves on both pitches are brilliant, and I had to pull out every slab-climbing trick in the book on the onsight effort of P2. It was dissappointing to drop the ball right at the try-line, but it wasn't absent a whole-hearted effort -I tried hard.

Linked both pitches from the ground with minimum rope drag.

The start of P1 is rather nails, but the initial moves its only about gr21 to the top.

2nd shot. Almost a classic, marred only by the somewhat sandy start -though, it wasn't as chossy as I was expecting, and is much better than Soul Catcher P1. Quite easy at the grade (24?) but committing through the crux, and tricky to read when unchalked. Was a cruise 2nd lap, though.

After getting thumped by the top crux on black heathen, my ego still had weight enough to not stick clip the first bolt on p1 and jump off to the ground when it turned out to be tricky. Disappointingly misread the start, yim showed us how it was done after waking up from a crag nap. The rest of the pitch went swimmingly and loved the heel toe cam in the flake up top especially. Tim quivered his way up p2, i was pretty stoked with a mostly clean 2nd (shafted by the roof).
