An amazing pitch! Lost the fight for lead, but was still hard enough on second. Technically no harder than a 19 hand to fist crack, but the most full-on enduro climb I've probably done.

Did a bit of a variant since Nads cruised up Sacred Site. After the first step, climb the thin flake 3m to the right of the chimney, continuing up the face above. Pretty nice!

Almost makes 'classic', but maybe needs a bit more traffic first. Both of us pulled off multiple rocks, and there's a lot of sandy shit on the first pitch especially. Second pitch is great.

We did it in 4 pitches, but with 60m ropes, a few more 3's and a whole lot more stamina, it could have been done as 3 pitches. Will probably get a little easier with more traffic, but should still test out your fisting skills...

21 | FA ★★ Dementia Adventure | 140m | Cape Raoul | ★★ Very Good | Sat 21st Nov 2020
Really good climbing, but crack still a bit flakey. Access not too bad via Smileshine at The Jim, and single pitch mostly horizontal scramble to reach start of the climb.
Cool moves on first pitch, changing into the more typical Cape Raoul burlfest by the third pitch. Awesome long section of hands high up on the 3rd pitch. Full 60m pitch to ledge, but other chances to belay from 45m.

What an epic. This was the whole reason I started trad climbing. Doing it with kat was such a spiritual experience. First attempt I went bolt to bolt till the 3rd. I realised that this climb was much harder than expected. I came down and kat had a crack. She managed to top the thing dispite the crazy wind and exposure. It was 4pm by this time amd we still had to get back. So I had my second, and last attempt. Miracles do happen, something clicked and I hit that ever evasive flow state. I found myself sitting at the top with the anchor between my legs. Had a very emotional moment as all the stress of the day hit me once I realised I had sent. 5am-12.20 am =19.5hr mission. This was a bucket list item for me and all the trad I had done had lead to me being able to pull this off. One of the best experiences Ive had the luxury of enduring.

8 | ★★ Route from Wedding Cake to Cape - with Kat Hayhoe | 300m | Cape Raoul | ★★ Very Good | Tue 27th Dec 2022
On the way back, I soloed up the chimney to the bolts then we both soloed the wedding cake back to the rap anchors, got the rope stuck rapping off rain of terror, then got muddy and gross on the jug up the fixed line in the gully. Ran out of water on the hike out, so we switched to the hip flask. Got back to the car sloshed at 12.20am. I slept well.
