A serious undertaking. We went up the night before to stash gear and locate abseil points using gps cords on thesarvo. Came back the next day but couldn’t thrown the rope down due to high winds….literally when we threw the rope over it flew up in the air. So stashed the rest of the gear and then came back the THIRD day!
We fixed the first two raps as suggested. Third rap to deanos ledge is fine but has a bit of a traverse in it. The rap
Off deanos ledge requires the first person to clip in a directional, and the second person to take it out. The fourth rap takes you to three hangers with a bull ring and they are all connected by tat (unless we got the wrong anchors).
Here our ropes got stuck and we couldn’t pull them. We climbed up two pitches using the end of one of our doubles, untangled at deanos ledge then climbed out from there. We basically only climbed half the route and it took 7.5 hours with a lunch break.
The pitches are solid at the grade and rock quality is suspect. Serious adventure climbing. Make sure you know your rope skills and are confident making decisions if things go wrong.

A full value adventure, with big time exposure, hero moves, roof pulling, corner shimmying (wishing I'd brought my TCs as a less down turned shoe tbh) and a generous sprinkling of classy moves on every pitch. The final 21 pitch felt solid (and pumpy) for the grade. Was pretty gripped for the first couple of pitches near the ocean. Fantastic day, cheers Mitch, and Garry and Simon for equipping.

Rapped to bottom of 24, elite route!! Some gnarly moves and back to the normal bolting standards after spending time on Bruny lol, most pitches were extremely very badly salty, used a WHOLE bag of chalk just on this route, imagine chalking up every single move because the route basically feels wet. Had to really back myself on the 24 due to the slipperiness but we made it. Flash cause rapped the route. Done in 4 pitches as ticked. Great day out and very hot!!

2nd shot total. Scrapped by way up this with the help of some funky crux beta from Michael -necessitating some gnarly foot-above-head insanity to work with my physiology- which was key to my success without working the route. It's far from over even after sticking the roof, and I felt like I was questing desperately all the way to the anchor. Highlight of the Bruny trip for sure.

An absolutely unbelievable pitch. So much fun in such a wild location. Basically soloed up the first pitch (one piece of gear in case I fell and pulled Harry off) and then belayed Harry on the money in crazy wind. I was a bit nervous sitting at the base of such a classic route and watching Harry fly up it but as soon as my turn came and I pulled on it was so mind-blowingly good that I just felt like I was pulling grade 16 up there. The arête is an ever present jug that just doesn't want you to fall off and all the other flakes and foot holds are so perfectly positioned as to propel you up the wall. An unreal experience cruising easy moves up a pillar of that size. Get on it!!

Round trip car to car was just over 13 hours with 2 parties of 2. Everyone was efficient and the parties gave each other space to work. The pole is in a spectacular position, good rock with perfect friction. Felt easier than the 22 on moai pole so was nice to bag this one quick, get a selfie at the top, and smash out the return journey hahah there are 2 bolts at the top of the 8m chimney. So if one doesn't want to solo it, you can fix a short rope, rapp it, then use your micro trax or whatever and top-rope-solo it out. The 5m chimney needs to be soloed I think..

Onsight!! Oh no sorry i mean sight! :o sorry for the confusion, we just saw it from the west side of the wedding cake. The most enjoyable bail ever. A 28hr adventure with 3 mateys in an insane landscape. Nap at carpark followed by one of the best day hikes there is. PB and rang for dinner to calorie load the night before at seal lookout. 3 tablespoons of PB is too much. Watch out PBrang cult of UQMC.. know your limits. Stunning sunset over the pillars before 5 hrs of shuteye. We squished into the tent and slept like sardines before ruth sprang out of the tent at 415 to put water on the boil. Ate in sleepingbags. A bold path taken on the way down. Well.. we took the wrong turn. Twice. A shit 18 followed by a great airy 18 to the wedding cake. Great southern land was on the mental radio today. I dont make these decisions. Got shutdown by the stegosaurus traverse.. couldnt make the rope not stick to rock and ended up turning the team around via a movie-like dialogue with jarred over walkie talkie. Tom and I had a sunburnt nap at the beginning of the wedding cake reascent. Following this was a nice lunch up top, some airy raps and a canyon ascent out that was the worst (and for jarred also somehow the best) part of the day, nonetheless, adding some flavour to a buffet of ramblings that was our cape raoul trip. Sundown at the shippies lookout and a delirious drive back to fortie bay where we were greeted by the rest of the gang. A truly unforgettable adventure. Sorry if you came here to read about pole dancer. I dont have a lot to say about that

Yep its pretty good alright!! Decent gr 19 climbing up to a complicated hardtoread but showstopping sequence on tufa-like flakes and steeply angled footers. Would be quite pumpy on the send burn with the last 3 draws being pretty hard to rest. Xav came within a hair on the 2nd shot. Another classic line in an unreal position

Fantastic line! The approach was half the battle, quite tired by the time the we actually got there, but we had great weather and minimal wind, it all went smoothly, almost relaxed. The view from the top is really something special. The jumar out was the most disgusting thing, raincoat came in handy.

Was just happy to get to the climb in the first place All exhilarated and full of adrenaline. Struggling with winds and bleeding fingers was able to get to the top (somehow). I was too overwhelmed with the pole position and tired after whole journey. Lots of unusual laybacking, smearing, toe and heel hooking and arete hugging. There are not many places where you can practise this. Definitely very serious undertaking.

World's most spectacular toprope. We haven't really mastered the pole/arete smeary style yet and found it super pumpy but great.

Absolutely gobsmacking line. The climbing alone would be a mega classic anywhere but add in the insane exposure and views and you have one of the most memorable experiences of your life. Extremely soft for 22 but still incredible. Beautiful pumpy climbing on both sides of the arete interspersed with bomber rests to make sure you appreciate the views. Cannot hype this climb up enough

The first pitch doesn't have a huge amount of gear but it is a very secure chimney and so no real need for it. The money pitch on the pole is well bolted and quite technical with amazing exposure and worth the VERY long approach.

Flashed using Ryan's beta and draws. Stellar climbing in an even more brilliant position. Looking left and right it's all water, sea birds hunting, seals lazing around and fighting and doing seal things. Then the movement is not physical but flowy if you have your friction arete technique dialled. So good.

Just wasn’t for me today unfortunately, but what a stellar line.
Second time seeing it up close but first time actually trying it out.
