Ascents in Upper Left Wing

Short, but fine.

Very careful lead as still recovering from ribs and pneumothorax.

Fun short route. just past the crux at the 3rd bolt the holds get very dirty, spring run off seems to have made its impact!

Working the moves

Red pointed on my second attempt. Feels slightly harder than Cumulonimbus

Hang-dog TR. But I found a new hold at the crux which might make it 5.10b rather than 5.10c.

5.9 opening, which could use a bolt, to 5.7/5.8 climbing at the later hard bit.

Better route than I thought it would be.

Tried it on TR, top was too hard.

Once you find the holds it goes... but they are tricky! Took me a couple of tries.

Opening is hard, upper part is harder. Maybe 10c? I cheated, doing one transfer with aid of the rope.

Had trouble getting onto the upper slab.

Fun and tricky movement in the top section.

Couldn't figure out my right hand after pulling the roof.

Cheated past the first roof crux. Should be good climbing once cleaned. (Was climbing with Simon, it's his project.)

Really just one move that's significantly harder than 5.8. The slab above the ledge is actually quite fun.

Also a good flash for me. Interesting initial part also tricky and then sort of heady slabs up above after the crossing part.

This one took three tries to pull the initial bulge. I think I finally found some beta... by going around the corner to the right.

Finally got it. The key is to find the crimp for your right hand, pull in hard, and then shoot up the left to the distant good hold.

Might be 5.10a?

I'm gonna move the anchor down.

On top rope it went. Had to retrieve a forgotten quick draw ...
