Decent climb, pretty pumpy

Tough but great climb! First time crack climbing. Fell near the top.

this was my first sport climb route. loved it! a relaxing climb when top roped but whole new thrill when leading!

first 6m are real easy steps. last 2 meters is the crux with crimpers and a big reach to a jug.

While the other routes on this cliff seemed soft for their grade, this one actually had a few moves that seemed stiff for the 5.4 rating. Generally good gear, and bolts available where the gear got a bit thin.

I did this to the "Overdrive" anchors, then went up "Overdrive".

Fun slab climb, not a lot of gear needed, and none of it big stuff. Seemed easy for a 5.7.

Fun upper pitch -- seemed easier than the book 5.7, but I'm comfortable on gneiss slabs.

Climbed about 40m, then belayed. Constructed anchor was where this crossed "Overdrive", then decided to finish up "Overdrive" since it looked clean and not too hard.

To my amusement, this climb had candy and toys scattered along it -- sitting on ledges, jammed in cracks, etc. I occasionally had to shift a plastic goat or other item out of my way to place gear or grab a hold.

Also, a bit run-out at the start, didn't like first placement, second was old piton, not until I was 4m or so up did I get a piece of gear in I was happy with.

TRed it clean to clean the anchor.

First climb of the day, and first in a week or so. Took one good fall on this one -- had clipped first three bolts, almost at fourth, was looking for either a good hold, or one more move for the clip and just popped off. Lifted my belayer off the ground, and had feet about at her head level. Rested, stopped shaking, and finished the climb.

Easy, good pro. Some fun chimney moves.

A fun top-rope, though some of the flakes felt... fragile.
