Ascents in Chamonix area

A true slab! Starting moves on layback was good. Crux was at 4th bolt, having to trust micro-crimps & small footholds. Made a desperate toe hook to prevent barn-door (almost fell), before the easy finish. A crazy route to onsight (absolute hats off to Gawain!). Happy to flash this one!

Third go. Interesting, compression route, with good but sharp holds. Climbing the face (eliminating L&R holds) will make this 7c (acc to guidebook) for sure.

Just first pitch. Nice, technical route.

Northeast Arete Integrale (according to Rockfax guidebook). 65m, middle & higher peaks in 3 pitches: 5c, abseil 10m, 5a, 5b. descend ~50m abseil. Take two ropes.

Awesome day out! Second climb here. Conditions were great, led the final crux pitch in 2 pitches to avoid rope drag, easily to protect. Stunning views on the approach and descent. Bring a sufficient rack & 70m rope to be safe for the long abseil at the start.

First climb here, thick snow cover. Caught in a slight snow storm towards the end, but thankfully made it out just in time for the last lift.

Impossible crux at 2nd-3rd bolt. Only first pitch tried

Cool route. Had to work to get the crux. Getting bwtter at slabs! Only fiest pitch

Seulement la fin, traversée depuis le haut de "Siesta" puis rappel.

En haut de "Siesta", utiliser 1 point de "La Cheminée" puis faire le grand écart (cool move) pour rejoindre "La voie normale" en utilisant une sangle. Redescendre en rappel.

Good one for intermediate climbers. Not always easy to find places for protection but it is safe in general. The view is great, and the all-day sunshine is a plus. Worth to try.
