Ascents in Fuchsstein

Short 7- part above the buldge with a thin crack a few meters below the anchor. Without taking the branch at the top of the crack probably harder.

Route was okay up to the second/last bolt. Climbed a bit over the last bolt, wasn't too sure where the original route was going because of the moss. Decided to downclimb to the last bolt and lower off from there. The distance from last bolt to the top was a bit too scary to not know where the route exactly was. I guess one must traverse back to the left again after clipping the last bolt; not too sure though.

With pre set quickdraws and a sling from Ellen. Additionally, while on the way, I put in a small nut before the first bolt and a sandglass sling above the first bolt. Smaller climbers can't clip the second bolt from the small bulge but have to do another one or two climbing moves back on the wall to reach.

Wall climbing in good rock. Crux is in the lower part in the yellowish rock on smallish crimps. Juggy to the top.

Difficult, strenuous passage over the first bulge, then easier but a little splintery runout (bigger nuts possible). Good rock and nice pockets to the top.

Great dihedral, the hardest part is one slightly awkward move about two thirds up the dihedral. Easy, juggy traverse to the arête. The book case is missing its lid, unfortunately. :-( Back to the right onto the pillar and up on jugs. It's best to set up belay at the bolt on the right.

To the right after the great dihedral and via a short difficult passage to the top. Not as good as the original on the left.

↑↓ Climbed up and down a few variants. Interesting chimney labyrinth behind the crag.

UIAA 5 in the guide books, but that's ridiculous, it's just an easy chimney. Below the last block you can squeeze through a hole and continue like "Westkamin".

Two hard moves after the first bolt, that's it. Had to sit quickly after the crux to haul up some nuts which I forgot.

Bit hard for a #warmup

Great crack line, but no crack skills needed at all. Jugs abound. Perfect route to practice placing gear.

Went third and placed one extra nut.
