Finally knocked the bastard off! After many attempts over a few years, with variously drastic levels of failure, finally sent it. Jumped on with no expectation of getting it, made it through the first crux without too much whimpering, then expected to cock up at the second crux, and somehow forgot to. A good day on the rock

Re-sent. Great conditions, cool and dry sure makes a difference. Somebody left draws on, got a surprise when the one at the top of the slab was a triple-locker (hate 'em), and another when the final draw up the dihedral wasn't there.

Very very good. Nice to get it clean after having pretty much forgotten everything about it even after scrubbing it for three days. Probably due a touchup clean on some holds, but other than that, still pretty spotless in comparison to some of the surroundings

Off the "unsent" list, and easily, retrieving Alex's draws. Two fingers and a thumb on the crystal spike provides good attitude control and lets you look around the corner for the sidepull. Gareth found some sketchy tall bastard beta to avoid the whole drama. Time to pack up.

Really enjoyed this one, funky start moves then a few tricky moves, good rest. Step left to side pull then undercling. Game on through the next few moves of steep punchy climbing. Took ages to clean and had a bit of a mission getting bolts in the right place but it worked out in the end

ticked it on the second attempt today, took the resting spots and had all the moves dialled. Really tempted to call this one 28 but I think with the rests you get its not sustained enough even though some of the individual moves are up there!!! Massive Sandbag at 26 but think it could be missing some holds as the traverse crux is actually not the "crux" 😂 One of the best routes Ive climbed in NZ well worth your time but expect a bouldery 27!!! https://youtu.be/uAOU5zspBb0
